Nerf AIM-120B

at least u need to admit that the ARB maps are hateful cuz they are full of uneven terrain, where u pass from 40m to 70m in 1seg and the ARH missile recognize that difference and locks on the last milisecond to kill u

most of them are full of mountains, depressions and valleys and its annoying

I rarely rely upon MP to defeat SARH or ARH missiles and prefer to rely upon notch+chaff and terrain masking. Its far more reliable and hopefully MP will be reduced even further, so its good to learn these skills now.

Though all the times i’ve played ARB recently (usually in the Tornado GR4) and whenever I play my main gamemode, ASB. I’ve been able to stay below 30-40m (usually below about 150 ft (45m)) without much issue. Though, in something like the Typhoon Im rarely below 20k ft (6000m) and even in the Tornado F3 these days I generally operate more like 10k ft (3000m)

dude, u know how hard is to stay at -50m in Moscu, Smolensk, España, etc
especially at high speeds, where u don’t have that maneuverability u have at mid speeds

I dont know ARB map names off the top of my head. But again, if your only defence is MP, then you should learn alternatives methods of defending and free yourself from the deck. All missiles, ARH especially, perform way better up high. You’re in a plane not a tank, so get off the deck. Only thing hugging the deck should be mud movers

There is such a thing as flying too low.

By flying that low, you and your MP “reflection” are practically in the same place. Against a threat fired at you from the same alt, you might be better off actually being more like 30-40m rather than 10m

DUDE I ALWAYS FLIGHT AT 30-40m!

Then that is very long

Again…

R-77 has the exact same seeker at the moment. They are 100% equal in terms of their ability to resist chaff/be notched, how they are affected by MP and how well they track a target.

AMRAAM is better at long range, but actually weaker at short range.

The far more likely thing you are experiencing is a difference in FM and radar performance. Su-27 has one of the weakest top tier radars at the moment and aircraft like the F-15 and Typhoon climb exceptionally well and love high alt and so even if they had the exact same ARH as the Su-27, would enjoy quite an advantage over the Su-27 in terms of range just through launch conditions.

Stock grinds suck in everything, especially if you also dont get IRCCM stock (like the F3 for example) even if you get AMRAAM.

There is nothing to nerf on the Aim-120 because its not overperforming. In fact its underperforming.

Yes there is a compression issue at top tier, but Su-27SM would still more than likely only be 1-2 BR stops away from the current 14.0s and even if there was a LOT of decompression and you’d still face AMRAAM slingers from the FA2/AV-8B+ to the ICE and F3 and up to things like the Gripen C.

Also dont neglect your R-27ER/T. They are incredibly potent still.

so 100km radar detection at 13.7, +220m/s rate of ascension and 10 Fox-3s means its a “bad radar”?

dude, i got no issue locking enemies at +70km with the Su-27, so the Su-27SM should be better in almost everything, and the RWR is a lot better than the one in the older Flanker, so i can detect planes and missiles at the same time, making my life a lot more ez when trying to find enemies at my surroundings

Compared to PESA radars like the SU-34 and SU-30 or full AESA like in the Rafale or even Kfir C10. yes

Its also much weaker than Foxhunter (F3), Blue Vixen (FA2 and Gripen) and should be a LOT weaker than CAPTOR-M (Typhoon) but unfortunately isnt due to the buggy nature of CAPTOR-M

Su-27SM is considered the second weakest radar, just ahead of the J-11As which has a single DL channel but is largely the same otherwise.

PD: in ur opinion, i should carry 4 R-77, 2 R-27ER, 2 R-27ET and 4 R-73? or 6 R-77, 2 R-27ET and 4 R-73?

Increasing the seeker range would be a nerf imo
Because the target has more time to react to the active missile

I have no idea. You’ll have to decide which missile you would use the most. Id probably run quite a few R-27ETs though because unless the target has MAWS, they rarely see them coming

not really, i got a few kills with R-27ER at +40km, so if u keep the lock at least when the Fox-3 locks by its own, u could get an easy kill

Some situations it could be more helpful. As it means you can start defending sooner without the need to support the shot for as long. So its not really a buff or a nerf. But still a report that should have been actioned a while ago

plus, its wrong if i have fun in toptier while getting gangbanged by SPAMRAAM?
