America haters love to claim America has OP prop planes, even when they’re some of the worst in the game.
The P-63A-5 and the F4U-4 are about the best prop planes you can get with America.

Thanks I guess… Do you have any strategies I could use?
I’m fairly certain the F4U-4’s performance is identical to the F4U-4B’s. It has tons of engine power, and works very well for high-speed dogfights. It can its speed in turns far better than most planes, which you can use to speed trap planes that turn better than you.
It also works well for just basic BnZ.
It’s been a while since I played P-63A-5, however it’s pretty agile and has a good thrust-weight ratio.
Ok thank you I heard from somewhere that I should keep the P-63A-5 lower because of its low alt engine performance is that a good idea because i’ve been play the US for a while and i’ve never not climbed.
It’s good to climb, even with planes that have bad high alt performance as you can built energy. Although, iirc, the P-63 has a turbocharger which helps it at high alts, thus the strange engine layout.
After checking your vehicle statistics, this looks like a real challenge.
Actually i recommend to improve your playstyle first before you think about trying to waste your time with such tasks, but it is your decision.
Have in mind that the planes you have mentioned are not bad - your main challenge is your own team and the composition of enemy teams.
In the last weeks and months there were a hell of similar questions in the Academy section. Use the search function and you find extremely helpful threads which might be suited to help you.
An example in this thread:
The first reply gives you a complete overview of what tools you can use to get get better and how to inform yourself about the planes you mentioned.
Good luck with your project!
One of the funniest things i read in the last weeks - Respect👍
You should think about starting a career as comedian.
Oh come on. Don’t tell me you’ve memorized the difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger.
Plz stop - i almost spit out my coffee. Really, try to do stand-up! 👍
Are you trying to say the P-63 doesn’t have a turbocharger?
to be fair thats a pretty big difference, its worth memorizing imo
P47s. I use them in air arcade primarily as supportive fighters, rack up 1:1 usually just go in target the biggest threat in the worst situation to be in, and that typically works.
Otherwise in air RB, I recommend manual engine control on, manual radiators on and set to max. WEP at like 300kph until you start seeing targets around 9km away then level off while near-ish friendlies and use your energy how you can.
With all that said, it’s a lot of practice and a lot of work. They aren’t as easy as P51s.
And general tactics I’d recommend looking at YouTubers such as Defyn.
F7F-1 is a similar playstyle but turns worse, climbs better.
They’re not powerful P51s, but they get the job done.
You remind me at a former friend - telling wild and ridiculous stories and being able to keep a neutral face.
He excelled on business trips to create panic in random restaurants by pretending to perform a food safety inspection - or just confused random staff in nationwide active stores by claiming to be an auditor from HQ.
For guys which didn’t get your jokes:
Ofc, the P-63s had no turbochargers and the engine layout was a result of the 37 mm cannon.
Well done!
Idk what you’re smoking, but I want some.
You are ruining your jokes.
Look up up the difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger - conceptual (which kind of air gets “charged”) and especially regarding the required space.
They both increase high alt performance by giving the engine with extra air and that’s all I care about.
There is nothing wrong with spreading fact-free or simply false claims in a public forum. But as soon as you post nonsense you have to expect feedback.
Everybody with some know-how is fully aware that this is pure nonsense:
…as explained here:
Answering like this:
Just proves that you are unable to create any additional value as you think your own standards (replacing facts with believes) would apply to others.
With such remarks you just confirmed that the the comedic aspect of your initial claim was not intended - which makes it actually even more funnier.
Edit:
One of the main purposes of a forum is to help and support others with similar interests. The Academy section is there to help for specific issues - not to spread wrong information.
It makes zero sense when subpar players like you feel the need to post either things not related to the question (like post #3 & #6) or just spread wrong stuff like quoted above.
Why are you clownmaxxing so hard?
OH boy the p-40’s are some pretty good fighters (especially if you get time into biplane matches in arcade cause yea you can do that)
It’s not. The 4B has a noticeably more powerful engine.
It does not. It has a supercharger set up and even then it is a fairly low altitude supercharger, much like how the Russians have supercharger set ups on their planes but they are not very good at high altitude.
There was one P-63 with a turbocharger (the P-63D), however as far as I know it was just a prototype, and it is not in game.
