i am a new player guys and i need some help like which is the best nation to use and some tips from you guys (:

1- Play for the sake of enjoying vehicles.
2- Wear headphones.
2a- Other engines 100, your engine 27 in sound settings.
3- When you do unlock vehicles, you’re not obligated to get and use them immediately.
4- Be patient with learning map positions.

These are general advice I give everyone so they focus on having fun with the game rather than worrying about getting the next vehicle.

USA, Sweden have easier rank 1s to use, and all 9 default tech trees are good in their own ways.

Addendum with more air- and naval-oriented tips:

Air:
-Before 9.0, climb. This acts as a sort of “speed battery” for your aircraft (building up energy) that you can siphon off of later in the match. Stock (newly bought) aircraft generally prefer an angle of 10-15 degrees (press V twice to see the angle), and spaded (fully upgraded) ones between 15-25.

-Bring tracer belts until you “feel” where the rounds go. And if a BR/Tier change makes you struggle with aiming again, don’t be afraid of bringing tracer belts again.

-Bind manual control keys, the amount of shenanigans you can pull simply with QWEASD is wild. Throttle can be bound both to Shift/Control and the mouse wheel.

-Set “Gun targeting distance” to 800m and “Vertical targeting” to “Yes” from the get-go. This tilts the guns upwards, something that gives an edge in turnfights, by decreasing the angle you have to turn your plane to get your guns on target. Do note that low velocity guns (see: MK 108) tilt VERY far upwards.

Naval:
-The rangefinder does NOT include the relative velocity you and your opponent have towards each other. Therefore, consider aiming between 0.05 and 0.15km closer than what the rangefinder says dependent on the distance and angle if you’re moving towards each other. Opposite if moving away.

-Torpedo mode is generally a bad modification to go for, as torpedoes are either launched hail-mary into the enemy spawn (where the greater range of Torpedo Mode is useful) or used as a surprise in close quarters (where the speed sacrifice limits their usability).

-Coastal vessels are irreplacable in their ability to control the points around their spawn, having the ability to appear from behind islands at a blistering speed (upwards of and even surpassing 100kph), torpedoing a heavy ship before vanishing again to set up the next attack.

-Turrets and engines also house crew, like compartments! Therefore, when most/all hull compartments are done for, without the ship sinking, the remainder is probably in these modules (most prominent on the USS Helena).

More generic tips:
-Sit down and read about the different types of ammunition and what they do (like how APCR dislikes sloped armour and how HE-TF explodes at the distance the rangefinder has calculated).

-Study the vehicles you acquire, and see what strategies other players have figured out to work. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. Also look at what vehicles you can face, so you don’t end up for example going straight into a turnfight against an A6M Zero.

-There is no shame in not being first into the battle, this usually only yields you being the first one back to the hangar. As an extension to this, try to make a “mental map” of where the fighting is going on, and where you should/shouldn’t go.

And finally;
-Don’t expect all this to be learned in a single evening, this is a hugely complex game with lots of different interactions. Take your time, and try to enjoy. This is a video game after all!

If you’re going to buy premium vehicles: don’t get a top tier but, if you’re comfortable and know what are you playing against - mid tier or, most recommended a consistent vehicle for the tier you are.

“If” you decide to spend time playing, I encourage you to invest in a premium account. It’ll help with SL and RP and you won’t go into the negative SL balance in a bad match.

Take advantage of sales when they occur “if” you want to invest in the game either through a premium account or vehicles.

Speaking of SL, the higher you go, the more SL it takes to buy, crew and spade vehicles. Don’t be in a rush to move up to grab the next shiny vehicle. Bank SL whenever and buildup up your SL account, because there is nothing worst than running low.

Build your lineups with a nice combo of vehicles but try and keep them all within the same BR. You can create muliple BR lineups. I generally only have a max of 4 vehicles per BR range for ground. It’s usually a SPAA, light tank, a tank, and CAS plane.

Play for fun, and don’t worry about being the top player. Play how you want, and how you feel comfortable.
