Also why 2.0 for the Lynx? Im not familiar with the gun but im pretty sure it used the swedish 37mm right? It wouldn’t make sense for it to have the APDS round considering we didn’t use them and considering the low pen of that cannon 2.0 seems strange.
I have added it there as it is more or less the same as the one in-game. It has an 20mm L/60 Madsen cannon and 8mm Madsen machineguns to my knowlegde, i haven’t researched them fully yet as i have been focusing on finding information about some other vehicles, i am going to go trough them more thoroughly very soon
Well the M/40 was sold to our Army, still sucks we didn’t get a Danish Camo for it… oh well, heres hoping we get the 39 eventually
Are you from Sweden?
hmm, i’ve seen the Danish lynx in at least 4 different paintings/camos, so there is definetly a possibility for some camos for the M/40 in-game :)
No lol, im Danske
I see, i see, Even better ;p
Yeah iirc we bought the Lynx but they didn’t arrive due to the war or maybe a change in deal, i dont remember fully, i just know they were intended for our military at the time. Shame we don’t get many low BR event tank camos all that often. Would be nice to get some Danish camos since we have 1 vehicle :_( Oh well, i guess ill keep grinding my French tree until more Danish vehicles arrive
I have seen some variants of the lynx in Denmark, I’ll go trough them and see what i find. I know one thing tough, and that is the Danish lynx has 5 8mm Madsen machineguns, 2x in the front and rear for the drivers and one coaxially mounted besides the 20mm
Seems like a greenish camo, don’t know the name of it
Theres been a hand full of versions, would honestly make for some decent 2.0 as either spaa or LT’s.
My most played ground vehicle on sweden is the M/40 lol.
it’s a great vehicle haha, its even fun at higher tiers
I know there are more variants of the Danish lynx, however i have only put two of them in this techtree as i haven’t gone trough them yet, the one i the image above does for example only have single mg’s.
it is definitely suitable as a spaa, it does actually do quite well against aircrafts, but as it is classified as an Light tank in-game i guess it should be a light tank for now, don’t know the official classifications by the armies. I have for example heard about the Stridsvagn 103’s being classed as tank destroyers and not mbt’s
Tbf the P40 tank on Italy was classed as a heavy by their weight standards yet in game is a medium.
i see! could be several reasons, i believe it can be made heavy tanks if it is reported, with proper proof, nut i see several articles claiming it to either be a medium or a heavy xd
I think its a balancing feature, if it was a heavy it would cost more SP. Same with the USH 204 GK, irl it was a LT yet in game is marked as a SPAA, imo should still be given scouting but i digress.
Same with the ADATS being a TD for a while
yep, that must be the reason, the suh is quite good as a spaa, but believe it would struggle a bit as a light tank only with heavy armor at 5.3, better with cheaper spawn
I think i am letting the lynx stay as an light tank in this tree, at least for now, there should be plenty of other vehicles to serve in the anti air role :D
Imo would like the USH to be 5.0 since 5.0 is a better lineup than 5.3, though id like to see gaijin actually pad out 4.7 since they added a tank with no back up there and with a TD disguised as a SPAA
It will probably change sometime in the future haha, the USH is a quite recent addition so strongly believe it will change br the next time they do br changes
A Few too many Chevrolets, it seems like that would only open up to repetetive gameplay, and the end of the tree it seemed like it was mostly just copy paste CV90s which i feel might only further un-diversify the current gameplay, especially if Scandinavia ends up on the opposite team of Sweden, but most of the tree looks good ands its amazing to see a WIP build and i can see you have a passion for it, keep up the good work!
The tree is to show potential, so if the tree were to be implemented it would not feature everything that is shown in this tree, at least not in a while :)
The chevrolet do all have different weapons, exept the two trucks with 37 revolvercannons, the 2nd truck should be a different model but i am still looking into it, i think it might be an chevy model AA
I am happy to tell you the CV90’s are not copy paste (exept the premium CV9040B wich is trialed by Denmark), with all of them featuring unique changes and weaponry, domestic ammunition etc, one of them even features an remote turret from Kongsberg Defence :D (i can go into details)
I am going to continue updating it, this year there might be a ifv or two wich might feature a 50mm bushmaster for the Kongsberg turrets
Oh thats cool, the names and how similar they were was a little misleading, but it does look really cool, and surprised me how much other Scandinavian countries have experimented and leased.
Yes, i am working on inproving the description of the vehicles in this suggestion, there are some individual suggestions for some of them too, showing the changes/ammunition in a little more detail
There are around 10 leased/trialed vehicles of both nations from the 1960’s left to discover, and many other “forgotten” experiments and tests, for example, around the time Norway built the Unimog with the ss.11’s and the Bv202 with entac’s there is leads they might have done the same with other vehicles such as a jeep and a weasel
