What are you talking about any rank from I to VII can grind events.
You also need to read that Grinding with Rank 1/2 requires ‘event vehicles’…
Agreed
Also why 6.0 germany is so strong?
Admiral hipper is crazy compering to us 6.0
I just got to 5.0 usa and im getting desroyed
Clearly not enough
Adding to this:
There is a ridiculously asinine power discrepancy between TT ships and squadron/premium ships, and it is most blatantly and painfully noticed in lower tier coastal play. You’ll have TT 2.3, 2.7, 3.0 coastals getting decimated by 2.3 and 2.7 premium or event or squadron coastals that have the firepower of a destroyer and can sit in one spot and wrack up coastal kills relatively unharmed, but most of the TTs will not have an equal, especially US which doesn’t get out of PT boats and slow and sluggish sub chasers until nearly 4.0.
In air and ground I’ve never really felt that the “special” vehicles and planes were too much (though there are some exceptions…). But here in naval the power discrepancy is absurd.
So get them
Totally with you on every thing in you post; read mine titled ‘Gone in 60 seconds’, naval getting pointless now. Decided to start naval games a few months back after getting sick and tired of being ‘revenge bombed’ during tank battles by the ‘less than average at best’ brigade who jump into a plane at the first opportunity to drop 2000lb bombs on tanks…what fun!
Here’s something that will make you laugh, just played a Midway Atoll game ( hate that scenario ) so decided to use an MTB to get around the back which I did for the whole game without being blown up, even managed 3 torpedo hits. Here’s the joke, I wasn’t even awarded any rewards because of INACTIVITY. Then there are those that just sit behind an island with a battleship the entire game as a STATIC battery and get rewarded. The game is BROKEN and the Devs do NOTHING!!!
Tip: at 5.3 you want to dislike all Conquest maps (single circle). You can dislike or ban all but one if you’re premium (the one I leave out is Kvarken). The mid-rank players who have disliked them stack their dislikes and that group of players who do almost never sees them, while everyone who doesn’t dislike them gets to be cruiser food a lot.
Encounter’s fine, there’s almost always some terrain on those, be judicious on spawn point choice depending on the situation and you can wrack up some crazy score numbers.
The trick with all high-tier destroyers on Encounter and three-cap, now they’ve pushed a lot of the spawn points out is that the other destroyers can rarely hit you at all if you’re over 12 km (at least in RB) and it’s not exactly easy for CLs either. So if you’re 12 km+ turn hard to the flank and head for terrain and stay out of engagement range and normally you’ll get there. Generally people fire at the closing targets and the bots ignore you if you don’t fire at them and get their attention. Your chance will come later.
As with all events, start your rank III 2.3 and then when it dies go to your rank II 2.3 (Brantford). All the score counts. You don’t even have to really play the first boat, just select it and then select the rank II instead before the game starts.
Thanks for the reminder,
If I consider British rank 3 boats with 2.3BR are filled with rubbish, I think it will be easier to grind next naval event if I use Riscomb and Brantford instead.
I wanted to revisit and briefly touch on some points I made earlier:
-
I finished the Naples event, to include going all the way to the coupon, then sold the thing on the market, and I’ll say “Torture” may have been a slight, but only slight exaggeration.
-
When I said automated AA needs a nerf, I realize it was already nerfed some time ago, but what really needs the nerf is reaction time. Their accuracy isn’t a problem, and their potency matches what they are shooting so I’m fine with that too. But the automated AA reaction time reacts INSTANTANEOUSLY in a way no human being ever could. And they are supposed to be mimicking humans, so they should not be reacting instantly. It’s always comical to me when I spawn a plane and I see AA guns firing at me from the far side of the map perfectly match and trace every little turn and correction I make in the same instant that I am moving my mouse. It’s almost like my mouse movement both moves my plane and adjusts their guns. Their needs to be an artificial lag time to mimic human limits. I realize that it might be common to think that that would make torpedo and bombing runs “too easy” BUT to successfully torpedo or bomb you need to be stable for a certain amount of time, and in that time the AA guns can still get the proper track on you.
-
Further, automated AA guns need a limit on how low they can traverse. If I’m no more than 10 meters off the water I shouldn’t be getting hit so regularly, and it should decrease the closer you get as the shortened distance causes gravity to no longer work in the AA shells’ favor.
