Sorry my friend…but with the way War Thunder is going…this is INEVITABLE ;)
Doesn’t mean I have to play those tiers.
Nor do I have to. But given how garbage the DDG missiles already in the game are and their inability to actually mag snipe my usual (as of late) 5.3 line-up, they’re little more than free credits and RP.
yes naval closing is inevitable
Uuuuummm kinda don’t think the dedicated Missile boats will be anywhere close to 5.3 BR…Harpoon Missiles have if I remember around 500lb of explosive

Salvos of these would make the biggest things in naval atm into free credits :/ not that the things launching them can tank hits…but when we reach this point I don’t think we would be at Gun range!!!
And thus begins staring at a map screen in warthunder naval.
Straight cringe.
I’ve been trying to get to coastal top tier in both France and Japan, after almost being done with Bluewater.
But I’ve noticed that 3.3 is unplayable for me, my lobbies are filled with player bots that seem to instantly J out when they are hit by another bot, and sadly both teams are only in destroyers so I’m unable to do proper damage agaisnt them in my pt boat, outside of capturing points there is no way for me to accumulate any score.
Correct me if im wrong but arent most DDGs and whatnot not actually able to currently penetrate Battleship Armor as they are designed to defeat other targets of its type? Yes sure they would probably be able to develop Missiles capable of defeating Battleships but i dont think most of them have such Weapons on Board.
3.3, 3.3, 3.3, 3.7 vs 3.0, 3.3, 3.0, 2.7
and they’re adding another mode and teasing with subs for this year, lel
Harpoon has a SAP-HE warhead and a top attack terminal attack profile (it comes in low to the water, then right before impact it climbs up and dives down to hit the deck), that should be capable of dealing damage to most battleships. The big question is the warhead fuse delay. If it’s too short then the missile will do nothing to battleships.
This assumes that Gaijin also makes the missile’s ARH seeker good enough to reliably hit center mass of an enemy ship.
