Devs care about money and numbers, not your suggestion. And they’ll stop caring about your suggestions when they change it again. And they’ll change it again because the numbers will still be weak, and we will be telling them why.
I’ve got a bed that puts me to sleep, I don’t need Arcade Naval to do that job.
There is absolutely nothing realistic about Arcade Naval. No Naval Vehicle on Earth operates as poorly, and as impossible to skillfully aim, as the ones since the hornet update.
If you want it to be “Realistic”, have ships crewed by 1000 players, each playing a different role.
The old aiming system made the game worth engaging with. It let us gain skill, and have satisfaction in well placed shots.
The current one… doesn’t allow any of that. It’s point and click snorefest. And people on social media are saying the same.
This forum post, with over One. Thousand. Posts. of complaint, clearly demonstrates that the changes have not brought “comfort” to “all” players.
Never mind the 3 OTHER posts of complaint, and the duplicate posts Mods have shutdown because the topic is has this thread and others.
The only people in support of this are the ones that dream of electric sheep. Bots. Who’ve had their jobs made simpler. Hackers barely have to code in this game mode.
Wow you hate those who oppose you opinion so much. There is 3-5 posters who flooded those treads with whine, while there is “Total Unique Players: 869,872” according the statshark, only in July, that played and enjoyed NAB.
Listen, Comrade Kweedko, Propaganda Officer, 1st Class: If you’re so confident about it, bugger off. We don’t need your brand of dismissiveness around here. Big Ship Release excitement is dying down. Event is pretty much over. ALL of these crowd drawing incentives are losing their shine. The only new players are going to be bots taking advantage of the easy grind because… there’s nothing they have to code for. Just keep the cursor over the target. No calculations needed.
Like we’ve said, we’ll see where these numbers land in a month or two.
And I’d LOVE to see how many botters Gaijin boots from Naval Arcade versus any other mode since the aim change. Bet money botters have gone up and gotten worse since.
At the time of the aiming change I didn’t play war thunder. I came back to grind the Shisaka. It pains me greatly to see what has become of my favorite mode.
There once was a time when you had to know how to aim. That time has passed. It doesn’t matter if you used to be able to hit turning enemies. It doesn’t matter if you used to be able to take speed and bearing into account in order to hit that sweet first shot ammo rack. It doesn’t even matter if you used to be able to perfectly trap PT boats in a hail of secondary fire to protect yourself. In fact it doesn’t even matter if you were able to dodge all thst secondary fire as the PT boat.
It just doesn’t matter.
So what matters now? Point and click. That’s what matters. Gone are the days of understanding how shells fly. No longer must you understand the differences in time gained vs time lost on shells shot at extreme range. You point and you click. You don’t need to learn any of these concepts now if you struggled before. You point and click.
The skills I and many others had acquired over the course of Naval AB’s lifespan so far are now useless. I once took pride in my ability to compete against other players on the high seas. But no more. My very particular set of skills has been stripped from me. And now that the game seems to have turned against me; I see no reason to grind the Yamato for my very own. Because I’m not the one sinking ships; the aimbot is doing it for me.
I just don’t want to play WT Mobile on my playstation. There used to be a distinction there.
I think that this statement is absolutely delusional.
Here, AGAIN, we’re confronted with Kweedko’s fanatic refusal to accept that:
Absolutely Lobotomizing the CORE mechanic of Naval Arcade is the central, and pretty much ONLY, issue.
Aiming IS the game. Aiming IS War Thunder. The Aim Game is central to EVERY Aspect of War Thunder. Without a compelling Aim mechanic, there is NO GAME. EVERY Game mode in War Thunder is about Aiming. Aiming is the defining mechanic in War Thunder. The One Unifying identity of this Game.
You remove agency in Aiming and… you don’t have a game anymore.
Which is where we’re at. It is the central concern, gripe, and desire of everyone here.
The Post-Hornet Update Lobotomized Naval Arcade. Turing it into a Idle Clicker. Making the mode more welcoming to botters than actual flesh and blood players.
There is no compelling gameplay left here.
Reverse the Hornet Update Aim Changes to Naval Arcade.
So you suggesting to change aiming at top tier tanks like that guy said? For sure it’s way accurate than in real life where gears in turrets mechanisms and inertia exist.
What subject? That this costal lover can’t handle new aiming? We already knew that 4 month ago. Mate just ignored 90% of naval. Even his so adored costals played with same number of “players” and “games played”, according to statshak, as before changes, despite that he stated that everyone will leave it cause of new aiming.
