Naval gained a lot of players in June, as expected. Naval Realistic almost doubled its number of players in battles, which is impressive. Of course, we don’t know how the Naval Arcade stats would look if this game mode had kept its old aiming system.
The real question is what the situation will look like in 2-4 months. Only time will tell.
It’s not new, it always been the same since convoy ships were introduced(they are using different aiming system, different from players one ore bots with name one). And they refuse to fix it. @HK_Reporter pass it to devs.
with todays patch they added a option to disable the airfield spawn. The “bad weather” logic is one of the most stupid ideas since months… (besides others…) It also affected the ground modes
A couple of points I’d like to mention; what is the point of ‘mark of distinction’ or the allocation of decals for ships when there aren’t any to add…POINTLESS!!! Secondly, I thought naval battle were about using speed and manoeuvre and NOT SKULKING BEHIND ISLANDS as a static battery. What sort of satisfaction is THAT!!! Fewer islands would sort that out. So back to your original gripe, totally with you on that but don’t expexpect Gaijin to do ANYTHING about it or adjust the BR of battleship/battlecruiser so that if you want to battle it out with a 4.7 BR a capital ship won’t be found ‘skulking’ behind an island…as usual, no money in that.
Absolutely not. We do NOT need more maps where you all sit in a circle and shoot at each other with no cover. That is the most boring and dumb nonsense ever. All that needs to happen is revert all the changes they made to aiming so that you can shoot at people that you can see behind obstacles. It worked perfectly fine for years, until they ruined the aiming system.

Yes I know you can and I do with a lot of success, it’s those that Gaijin have given RIDICULOUSLY LOW battle ratings that just sit statically behind islands impervious to anything other than similar RIDICULOUSLY LOW battle rating ships. Using anything higher than 4.3 BR and guess what…a BATTLECRUISER is ALWAYS there, torpedo proof. Just wait for the bang!

Furthermore, I am not using “Troll” as an insult to that poster, I am describing it’s behavior, literally. That is what it does, always.
Well before it was also about shooting skill and the abilty to calculate your shots, this is not anymore.
So a quick DD had a purpose against a slow moving opponent.
Given that the current flag and cilcle maps are meaningless people tend to play the games as death match.
If you are looking for speed and maneuvering you need to play coastial and lower BRs, a multi tone CL or CH does not go welll with extreme maneuvers (atleast it should not ;- ).
I am… just… waiting to hear the numbers 2 weeks post this event and then a month, and then two months. Might be a quick indicator of how Naval Arcade is doing.
I tried to get back into it. Knocked out the event “daily” in 4 matches. But even being top of the team wasn’t any fun. They took any challenge out of the game mode. It is boring AF.
We’ll see if the community agrees. Or if it become a popular bot farm platform. It would be really easy to make it one. You just need Ai to pick a ship, keep the cursor on the extremely low moving target, and hold the fire button.
