Just to add to the moaning, what’s the point of naval?
If it’s to get to top tier in bluewater then… nah. See too many Soyuz at 7.7, why would I want to go higher and guarantee half the team is full of them?
Top tier in coastal? Gawd no… Just meet those AK630 armed things so, no thank you, Pointless.
You can’t grind a battlepass in naval, and if you did it would be a full time job, wouldn’t be fun and would receive a crap french light tank and a Romanian fighter, neither of which you would use or want. Pointless.
So use naval to grind SL? For what? British tanks are deliberately crap at the ww2 tiers I’d maybe want to play.
For aircraft? Well, there was a point at one stage. Ground a Mosquito thinking Uncle Toms might be useful for naval. Along with numerous others which may have had some utility. But… these days that’s just giving a bot a plane kill without even looking. Pointless.
Switch to all Russian ships, tanks and aircraft? What was the point of grinding British lines for hundreds of hours then? Was it pointless?
I mean, what’s the end game meant to be? HMS Vanguard and Leopard? The sheer thrill of playing ships outclassed in every way by pretty much everything, doubt the latter is all that much better than HMS Churchill?
Providing food and cheap kills for the glorious and highly esteemed major naval power of… Russia??? Seems to be the point the higher you go.
In regards to economics yes, but the Type 41 AA Frigate maybe the best gun frigate in game, followed by the Restigouche class Destroyer (rated a frigate in game) also in that lineup (counters the poor SL gains of the Type 41).
Thoughts on the bluewater+ “coastal” TT’s Ranks III/IV/V: (Note, I use correct classifications over in game).
Basically every nation for frigate type warships of Rank IV/V is on par or superior to the soviet frigate types (except Italy), the soviets ain’t got shit on the Ayanami class Destroyer 1958 (rated a frigate in game).
Motor boats are iffy in terms of what’s best since most fights are down to who sees who first, the Italians at least get the best missile gunboat while france the worst.
Corvettes go to the soviets/germany shipwrights with Italy following, although the soviets do get the only missile corvette currently.
If we ever get RUR-5 operational, Japan wins… with the Chikugo class Destroyer Escort.
The Torpedo Boat Ghibli should just be rated a destroyer, hell at distance it’s labelled one.
I was using the Ciclone class Torpedo Boat a week ago while working towards the Cassiopea class Offshore Patrol Vessel, it sucks so much, secondary & tertiary batteries open up on it from ships smaller than it just because the main rating is Frigate. Meanwhile a fucking slow Minelayer or more recently a Sloop is rated a Destroyer (both Rank I), yet not this & the closest vessels to the Ciclone class (& Chidori class) is the Raubtier class (Type 1924) or later Elbing class (Type 1939) Torpedo Boats are rated Destroyers for their main classification.
Let me clarify a bit better, most frigate types are better but things like the Ghibli, Chidori, Shōnan, Shisaka, Hoqiuam, Groza, an hell Commandant Domiré are just straight garbage & it’s bullshit they’re at the middle/ near end/ very end of research trees when equivalent or superior equipment of the same time period is much lower in Rank or in some cases BR’s.
USS Mahan main guns are off target against air. Fine against naval.
LCM(65) is a disaster. In full manual the 40mm is aiming off target and bounces with the waves (which should be eased considerably in arcade). With 20mms selected to AI the turret control is overridden by the targeting at ground/air so whilst you can shoot the 40mm you can’t aim at another target.

Did they added the German electric one??!!??
It was much slower than the G7a model but it had no visible trail.
Using batteries also allowed the Kriegsmarine to develop program steering G7e(TIII FaT II) and G7e(TIII LuT II) with pattern running but they were not passive sonar ones.
The later model G7es(TIV) Falke was the first acoustic torpedo
