My guy…if I wasn’t playing, I literally wouldn’t be allowed to talk here. You have to at least play 3 matches a week. Also, I’m probably in the top 10% when it comes to giving Gaijin money, historically.
Your arguments are dismissive, convoluted, and disingenuous. It’s like talking to a one man propaganda machine. You ignore the thoughts, feelings, and opinions of everyone here. What is your motivation? Why do you consistently show up here to argue with us? To share “data” designed to obfuscate the reality.
It’s like you’re trying to brute force us into submission. “No. Aim is perfect. ALL of you are wrong!” and I don’t understand WHY. Are you afraid we might accomplish our goals of being heard?
Naval Arcade, right now, in its current state, is at like… Alpha levels of broken. They’ve taken a core component of gameplay and changed it RADICALLY. Diminishing the agency players have in aiming their guns and targeting boats. Aiming is the CORE MECHANIC in War Thunder. I don’t know that ANYONE can deny that. Aiming is what War Thunder is about. To Butcher That, as they’ve done is… criminal. And to do it without the communities input is, tragic.
To ask the playerbase to suffer through months and months of broken game mode… essentially unplayable game play for those of us operating at higher levels of skill is… incredibly dense.
I will again state that if this change had been made to Arcade Tanks, they would have been Steam Bombed, and the changes would have been immediately reverted, then a roadmap would have been presented, and community engagement solicited on the front page. Not buried in the forums.
And I know that because it happened not to long ago.
This was a very dismissive and callous way to implement these broken attempts to make NAB more accessable and enticing to new players. And I think they’ve done the game mode a greater long term harm than good.
Lol. Yeah! That’s what I was doing. Or grinding out French Coastals. Or the new Japanese boat that had just dropped. Or reporting how Cruiser Float planes were still broken.
You’re 100% Correct. When the game wasn’t broken, I wasn’t complaining about it. And I wasn’t wasting my precious time, of which we all have so little, on reading forums. I was working, spending time with family, working on my home, and relaxing with my favorite videogame in my favorite mode.
Unlike now. Where I’m here, having to “debate” with you. lol
I really don’t know what you’re going on about here. Clearly EVERYONE here, who made an effort to create a forum account, and speak on this subject, cares. They wouldn’t be here if not. I logged in ONLY to speak about this topic. And I see many other have too. Again, you’re being dismissive of how serious everyone feels about this mistake of a mechanic change.
It is. But it keeps the topic fresh and seen. …yeah. It’s frustrating to see someone so diligently undermine efforts to be heard, and dismiss our concerns but… hopefully the constant activity puts it on the radar for devs, as well as the community.
I think the most common rebuttal is “Well, play realistic then”. Which is absurd and diminutive. For as long as Naval Arcade has existed, we’ve had a skill based aim system. We don’t play realistic for the same reason tankers don’t play realistic. We like quicker matches in boosted speeds. Not EASIER matches. Not matches with a major mechanic missing. Tankers like Heavy Tanks that don’t crawl. But still feel heavy. Arcade isn’t for a lesser experience. It’s for a greater one. Not restricted, but unleashed. Boasted, not detracted from.
Arcade Tankers know their shots are theirs. The skill they learn in Arcade, they take directly to Realistic. And Realistic players can bring the skill they learned there, to arcade. We don’t have that currently in NAB. We did. We don’t anymore.
Current Naval Arcade Aiming makes the game much more akin to an idle clicker than a War Thunder game mode.
i see kweerko is still lying about player numbers and misrepresenting data while still trying to bash his ideas into anyone silly enough to listen to him
Sure sure it’s barley a dozen of active commentators who participate in discussion and if you look at those who upvoted the initial post you can see that most of them still actively playing.
It’s barley “everyone” as we discussed already. Actually it’s just couple of “costal” players who disappointed that they can’t farm bots efficiently as before on their favorite premium boat anymore. Balance have changed, and changed in a good way, deal with it.
barely anyone play costal and I am not a active naval player for now… Those bots are basically bringing top tier naval in to low tier. My 180mm APHE can’t pen a battleship. It was unfair; meanwhile, the AI just sent a 9x320mm Shell flying to your ship… you died.
Why should an 7.0 come to a 5.0 battle? Is that a question, dude? and if you bring a costal ship at that BR do you think a 20mm gatling gun is going to penetrate 300mm+ Armor. And since 300mm is for flat penetrate… now the shell always land about 30 degrees on the armor making it 350mm+… and that is just the outer armor. mixing with the interior Armor gonna get over 400mm+
The battle basically became AI vs AI. Players are easily elimated once spawned
