I don’t think there is any sense to simplify this even more, but it’s possible of course.
Currently Naval Arcade works like some players in this topic wanted. In terms of aiming, you become more like a ship captain. By pressing the left mouse button, you give gunners permission to shoot at enemies. Captain don’t tell gunners “aim for that destroyer ammo rack”, he just gives permission to fire at the target. The accuracy of gunners depends from their experience. Releasing the left mouse button is now like saying “hold your fire” by a captain. That’s basically how aiming currently works in Naval Arcade. That’s exactly what some players wanted.
Your cursor position is completely ignored. You can look around to find next targets, you can do whatever you want with the camera. As long as you press that left mouse button, the AI will accurately shoot at enemy weakspots for you.
BTW: Keep in mind, I have maxed Naval crew skills on all my slots. I’m not sure if that affects this new fully automatic aiming accuracy or not, but I think it’s worth to mention this.
