Naval is unplayable when the ticket bleed for caps is so high

Just played a game where I popped 600% worth of boosters.

The game was over in 6 minutes and I came away with 4000rp.

Why?

Because there were 4 players on each team and the rest were bots. One of those players took a small boat and capped ONE objective.

I tried to fly my plane to counter it, by the time my 98mph plane reached the cap, we’d lost 80% of our tickets.

Ticket bleed in naval needs to be reduced by at least 50%. Nobody has any incentive to play naval at top tier when a single boat of 1.0br essentially wins the game by itself.

they should remove costal from higher tiers

I give credit the little boat, usually its float planes that get the caps. There has been posts about those too.
I don’t get too much into blue water as I prefer coastal, but when I do play blue water, I always take a coastal boat just in case someone goes for the cap.

In general I wait a moment before the match starts. Most ships that spawn quickly get focused on anyways. I wait and see if the enemy team spawns coastal ships. It is that time I decide to counter with a coastal or just play on, hoping it won’t cap.
It also depends on whats on my team. If there are some coastals, destroyers, or even cruisers, I hope they deal with the coastal ships and float planes.

Ticket bleed is something I am unsure of. It seems it bleeds faster the less ship players there are on the enemy team. Not sure if bots count, but I feel they don’t. Tickets drop sharply if there are no player controlled ships left. If you are in a plane the tickets drop quick still. I don’t think being in a float plane counts though since your ship is alive.

Or perhaps separate the matchmaking or leaving as a option to the player to do so, there are a handful of cool coastal maps that is never played in official matchmaking matches because coastal vessels only match with bluewater units, and it’s a big waste of resources.

Indeed, I support this, we’ll see if Gaijin gives a bit of attention to this gamemode, I’ve found myself with huge advantage when capturing one or even two points, almost securing a victory by just sailing from spawn to a point in the map, given how bots tend to perform, either is death machine or just a dummie; regardless of its issues, I liked the introduction of bots in the matchmaking to make the gamemode more enjoyable and they should stay, my issue is that, some times matches are too quicky and one of the reasons is the ticket bleed, even when the team in losing side still have a lot available.

I’ve taken in a boat, capped the 2 in shore points and the game ended before I could J-out to my blue water ship, so I got zero battle activity and no reward for the match… the ticket bleed is insane.

I have noticed that often 1 teams bots all rush the point/ points, while the other teams will all sail around out side them. when you have 2/3rds or more of the teams being bots that means whether you win or lose is just a coin toss on which bot behavior you team gets.

Nah, i like it. Tired of people just spawning bluewater and then sitting on spawn. Bring a coastal or at least have a ship with float planes. Get off spawn. Stop being lazy-ass bluewater sitting there doing nothing but farming bots.

Blue water arrangement was an mistake.

Different classes of ships do different things. But instead, battleships are put at the top, meaning no one really play destroyers which are faster and have AA power. Similarly with coastal boats.

At high tiers, naval is a pure suffering, especially after giving bots battleships, playing in Caracciolo or Cavour when even bots have damn Scharnhorsts is awful, I can barely earn any meaningful RP.

“stop being lazy” lmao.

Ok bro, tell me how sailing 11 miles to the cap at 12 mph is being ‘lazy’.

On some maps, you cant even reach a single cap because of the spawn locations.
