Naval invasion game mode idea

want to know what people think of this, feel free to leave feedback on what I can make better:

My idea is to have a new Naval bombardment mode/map for possibly both naval game modes (arcade and/or realistic), similar to attackers versus defenders. One team has to protect an island/ beach and has AI/player coastal ships that have to destroy the attacking team’s landing craft, but the defenders also have land-based anti-tank guns to attack any tanks that get off the landing craft. The main goal of the attackers is to get as many landing craft past the shore defenses as possible. The game would be won in three ways:
A) all landing craft are destroyed
B) a certain number of units from the landing craft get past the shore defences
C) The timer runs out victor is whoever has more points left at the end


Dots are the paths for AI/small craft
the sideways T’s are the antitank guns
red is defenders, blue is attackers

The inspiration:
My inspiration came from the battles between Japan and the USA during the end of WW2, such as Saipan/Tinian, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, and Hacksaw Ridge. When these battles happened, often, there would be at least a dozen ships offshore that would one-sidedly bombard island defenses in preparation for the landings. So I thought why not take that idea and spice it up a bit by giving the attackers a good way to fight off the landing with their own ships and patrol craft!

Some clarification:
if there were to be an arcade version of this, it would have to spawn the attackers quite far away from the defenders due to the “new” arcade aiming and to make the accurate bombardment of land targets more difficult and challenging to prevent the attackers from “Steamrolling” the defenders.

anything good, but the horrible “ocean circles” that we have on top tier, that can be 80% of map rotation in a day

I feel like this could work but only with the ground sim vehicle selector. This would be a nightmare to balance
