Okay, so last weekend i tried some EC for the first time now that they implemented these changes and im gonna say i liked it quite a bit, one of the reasons why i previously did not want to participate in EC at all was because of the so called “progression”. I like Battleships and Battlecruisers and could honestly not have less interest in Destroyers, Cruisers and Coastal Vessels so im very much happy they made these changes.
If you don’t like the match you leave, stand in queue and will be load to other ongoing match or even in previous one.
What a gameplay !

Take your best ship, search a battle where you can rule over other players (And bots).

Except it’s not. You probably not played regular battels for a while on 6.3+ only 7 maps are played 4 of them is hated “big circle” so it’s same map 4 times, one of other is biggest convoy map Mediterranean Port where you could not kill convoy cause it couldn’t be targeted over any piece of land(so mode just broken and can’t be properly played except ending by the time out), and other 2 is enlarged Palau and Frantz Yosef where you could barely reach the capture points at the match end or being denied by single small boat that took distant point in first two minutes(enlarging was unnecessary as like removing other Domination maps from rotation). So just 4 different maps all day long, from 6.3 to 8.7 it’s a disaster month after month - no wonder those matches are empty.
And you here trying to gatekeep new maps from reaching the random battles.
I have a compromise for you, your little club and for Gaijin @Stona_WT @Smin1080p_WT
new EC going to random battles with the patch, to live them up a bit, of course with properly tuned Join in progress - so players will be added to ongoing battles over creating new ones.
old EC stays in “events” sections over the weekends as it was before, with same rules, for you and your gang to enjoy your “destroyers” pummeling(Arcade changes of ships improved performance stay for NAB EC).
And we will see which one will be popular. Maybe even both. Maybe in that case even some old bugs of the mode will be fixed.
That’s a good idea. That way, there will also be room for playtesting. In any case, the changes to the SP that I proposed need to be implemented in the old version of EC.

im in several dc communities of people that i meet and play with regularly in naval ec matches. In not a single community where these changes are viewed even a bit positively. “Your little club” consists almost entirely of long time naval players that enjoyed the gamemode for years now.
Nothing speaks against making it more inclusive for everyone.
I haven’t, ever, met you playing naval ec though. That would be only possible if you play arcade only (which i don’t or very rarely play). Or dont play naval ec at all.
“Your little club” just has an ongoing vote here with several 100s of votes and its not looking exactly great for what they turned the mode into. But youre apparently fine with discarding all those ppls opinions and discrediting that they dont share yours? Im not sure whether it helps to downplay what people are trying here and voicing their opinions just because you feel different. But, ngl, it tells a lot about you as a person, no offense.

For sure only NRB EC community should decide for all players should they or should not get changes for EC and regular matches. Not even trying to find a solution which could suite everyone.

Did i miss something and this thread was ever created for rb players only or anywhere was naval ec RB mentioned specifically? it was obvious from the beginning that this discussion, as well as in the patchnotes and the “devlog” thread are for arcade AND RB.

Not gonna lie, I’m just a bit pissed of how you call this a little club as if this was a premediated group of people that were of the same opinion from the get go and try to rig an election or something. “Your little Club” is a little discreditable, when all that people do here is voice their opinions…
To his defense, the thread is under realistic battles category.
Nope most of those who voted against changes are exclusive NRB players i checked, and i also know couple of those NRB communities who advertise to vote against them. And even with this lobbying 27% still atm is pro changes. If introduction and implementation on matchmaking was properly tuned(creating and filling full lobbies with JIP instead of thousands matches 1vs1) even less people will voted against. But that’s Gaijin - no proper announce, no proper implementation from the first public iteration. I could only hope that they tweak it properly and fix bugs before changes go live, instead of leaving it as it was in this weekend for another couple of years.

I would hope so otherwise that whole debacle would be even worse. There are numerous good changes that they did. No one denied that.

I tried to explain how we could be able to change EC in good way by improving it without removing the essence of EC, but he just want to PVE.
He is ready to check every replays to see me using a yamato and hidding behind an island just to discredit me.
