??? It has a stabilizer you spud. The armor is also good for the BR and this DOES matter since it for example does not die to autocannons easily and conventional ammo in downtiers often bounce…
It has a basic stabilizer not an 3 plane one and has terrible turret rotation…it can’t properly engage . Plus that br range is full of heat it’s an easy kill. It can’t engage at close or at long …worst tank
All other nato tanks except some heavys at 7.3 can kill it easily…8.0 ones are faster better gun handling same pen plus fast turret rotation.
Doesn’t matter. HIGHLY impactful and HIGHLY useful tool that works up to ~22-24kph which makes the Type59 worth 8.0. It can engage just fine. Type 59 also easily knocks out any tank it meets in matchmaking regarding the gun.
This is a classic case of blaming the tank for your own flaws.
China is one of my most played nations, and I find the type 59 to be very good against tanks at 8.0 and below. Unlike most tanks it faces, it has a stabilized gun and good armour against regular projectiles. Only APFSDS and HEAT will reliably go through. The gun is also very potent and regularly one-shots leopards, centurions and M60s.
Lmao. It was pretty good in the Air superiority update. Felt more consistent than the F-15. Didn’t play the Gripen
It wasn’t meta at any point. If you liked it that’s fine, but it’s always objectively been worse than the american jets.
Type 59, was the worst tank I have ever played it could not keep up with turning against fast enemy and would die even if a apcs shell hit it .
The turret rotation was the worst .
Only good thing was the apbc shell it was the only shell that could somehow Just but still terrible even the reload was longer.
You just don’t like the tank, but the tank itself is fine for 8.0 and even on the STRONGER END of 8.0s (for SKILLED players anyway…) because of the stab.
What ever go through will one shot it
Not skill it’s easy for nato tanks fast agile with 320+mm of pen with fast rotation and good depression…but for type 59 every match is a struggle… stabilizer is not that good …not is the reload speed
Same is with is 2 you need skill for every match for nato tree tanks it’s just see and shoot anything will go through and i have the best armour at 6.0 tiger 2
You just proved my point you need skill to an non nato nation…for nato you need just see and click
Tank is fine.
If you don’t have skill you will suck ass in the OF-40, AMX-30, Leopard 1, M60, etc…
Ten is two greater than eight, just like how eight is two greater than six.
It certainly limits it.
If they “FIX” NATO equipment …You Russian and Chinese mains won’t even be able to buy kill let alone victory…
7 Years of deliberately “bugged” sloped armor
7 years of overperforming USSR ammo
11 years of insanely buffed USSR planes …
Science Fiction performance of ERA
Be careful what you wish for …
Again, speaking as if 8 missiles is not a lot to begin with.
It rarely matters. If you dodge AIM-54 its usually by causing a notch or because they fired them too close.
When only four of them can be good missiles, yeah it’s not much. Plus I was responding to the guy complaining about having two less ARHs when the US was in the same situation when it came to overall missiles with the F-15A vs the Su-27.
Potentially, but when most things at its BR have 25-30G missiles you should know how to dodge something with half that.
Please. You have two options here. Either you think multipathing was really strong and made all radar missiles pointless or you think it didn’t do this but this also means the 7M is a perfectly fine radar missile. I have NEVER struggled even slightly to get sparrow kills. It is not equal to the R27ER but the R-73 also isn’t equal to the 9M either.
Except the AIM-54 does NOT have half the agility of the 30g missiles… because G-tol is only 1 stat that controls agility. It is in reality much closer to the 30g missiles than only half their agility.
Radar missiles weren’t pointless, it just meant that any non-R-27ER-equipped nation was unable to effectively BVR.
I mean yeah, there should be something better for the US tech tree than the AIM-7M and AIM-9M.
It is still much less than other missiles at its BR.
Peak irony when anyone else gets something that doesn’t suck and then they cry to high heavens and Gaijin either nerfs it or uptiers it into near-obsolesence.
