Namer Weight and Turret Inconsistencies

I want to start a thread to house discussion, bug reports and information sharing about the Namers, beginning with the addressing of weight inconsistencies.

Currently in game, the Namer 30, Tsrikhon and Merkava Mk4 all weigh within 1 ton of eachother, despite the fact that the Namers use smaller, possibly lighter components (Merkava 2 transmission,.Merkava 3 Engine), and either the SAMSON 30mm RWS (Weighing 1500kg), or Rafael ALL-IN-ONE 30mm RWS (the latter of which also having mini-trophy and weighing between 1700 and 2000kg).

The following images show that the Merkava Mk4M weighs just 1 ton more than the Namer 30/Tsirkhon, despite the turret weighing significantly more than the 1.5-2 tons of the RWS mounted of the Namers; furthermore, the Namers utilise significantly less composite coverage and lack the 2 main ammo racks found in the Merkavas, surely this would lead to a massive 5-10 ton decrease in weight right???

Spoiler

If anyone could share any credible sources that may explain gaijin’s peculiar reasoning surrounding these tanks, or could a community manager chip in and help us grasp the differences here, then that would be much appreciated

the merkava turret obviously only weighs 1 ton

Not only that. All their weight is dead weight. They don’t have any armor. Namers don’t get the Merkava Mk.4’s in-game side composite armor despite being literally just a Mk.4 hull with RCWS systems on top. The transmition of the early Namers in real life is the one on either the Mk.4 or the Mk.3, not the Mk.2. Gaijin gave them extra modules to nerf their survivability but they aren’t even there IRL.

Just my amateur opinion, but since the composite armor on the sides is missing in this game’s Merkava,

(in Namer it’s composite armor angled at about 70 degrees)

couldn’t the foreigners be saying they won’t implement it?

Could the composite armor on the sides of the original Merkava Mk4 actually be thicker?

I think Namer probably has composite armor installed on the turret basket section…

Here is the IDF stating the Merkava Mk4 is 80 tons.
