Sorry to say but you got the memory storage all wrong, in these times you need at minimum 2 TB.
If you want to keep separate the boot drive and the “other things” drive buy a 500GB gen 5 ssd NVME for the operating system and a separate 1 TB gen5 for all other things, dont buy normal ssd and dont buy gen 3, your motherboard can use gen 5 speeds so use those.
I agree about the size. With the size of Windows 11… you won’t even fit War Thunder on that drive. However, plenty of good brands for NVME these days and not just Samsung. The WD black he has listed is a good one. I’ve had War Thunder sitting on one of those for 5 years now.
My oldest(Ol’ Faithful) rig I have had for 12+ years. I bought a Cooler Master rig from a
PC Shop a couple blocks from my old house for $50 and have upgraded it MANY times.
On the 3rd mb, 3rd psu & 4th gpu(EVGA 3070) with a Ryzen 8-core & 64Gb of DDR4.
My other two I bought are pre-builts, I have done some changes to, that I acquired
back shortly after the lockdown and silicon shortages and price craziness of that time.
It was literally much cheaper to get pre-builts then, so . . I did.
They both have 3080 Ti’s made by EVGA.
And yes . . it wasn’t long after I got all that, that EVGA bailed on making gpu’s
because . … reasons(Nvidia) and I was very sad.
#1 reason I have yet to upgrade any of them(they all still work great for me!)
I mentioned peripherals because . . . I have big hands and the world is made for small people . . lol. Finding a good mouse that fits has always been a problem . . .
similar issues with keyboards, but I cope.
Mechanical keyboards are the bomb. I also like a good headset as I don’t use speakers
to keep the household calm . . lol (5.1 Klipsch surround speaker set still in the box)
I have 2 mice, 2 keyboards & 2 headsets for each of my 3 rigs(back ups are important!)
and I have boxes with even more good/functional mice, KB’s and other headsets(I am a hoarder)
and enough old cases and stuff to prolly build a couple other PC’s(older junk I could run Linux
on I guess)
PC building and use is a great hobby . . to me anyway. Just keeping up with all
the advancements . . . really hard on us old people . . . but it will never end.
Ai, quantum computing and insane internet connection speeds on the horizon . .
this will all look like drawing in the dirt with a stick someday . . .
RAZER headset is a 7.1 surround and I also have a RAZER 5.1as well
This mouse is a godsend . . . for reals
Oh yeah definitely, but I was talking about the SATA SSD. Out of all the SATA SSDs I’ve gone through Samsungs EVO 870 has been the best for me.
Don’t take the AMD. I got two AMD gaming PC here and one Intel. I am constantly running into driver issues with the sound card or other instabilities while on the intel, same brand, I have none.
Newest AMD Adrenalin drivers killed the speakers and mic. I got a workaround from the vendor to remove the driver and install an older version, that fixes the issue but disables the microphone port.
And this is just one example. Yes, its a prebuilt. But its using standard ATX and mATX components. Perfectly fine with it.
For context about the SN850X. Very good drive. Durability is fine. But it just depends how many games you want to have installed at one time. War Thunder uses:
And that’s not out of the ordinary. RDR2, for example:
Spoiler

Can just imagine how big GTA VI will be. So if you’re fine with only a few games installed at a time… all good. But I’d personally go a minimum of 2TB.
That’s old stories. Drivers have been great with 9070XT. In fact, Nvidia 5000 series has been the one having driver issues. Never heard of anyone having driver issues related to CPU, though.
That is when it releases for PC in 2028 probably.
Lol, true.
I have an i5-10600K, an incredibly fast chip for the money and I would buy it again if i was teleported back but from 2022 to today AMD is always been a step ahead of intel in everyway and if i needed to build a pc today I’ll surely go with AMD

- also put 1TB of storage for boot/other files intead of the 250GB
Rockstar 1 day before the official release:

@jamal_is_cool1 btw, another thing you may want to consider aside from game storage is game cap storage. If you want to start recording your games using OBS or similar software. Using the AV1 encoder you cut right down on filesize output, but it can still add over time if you like keeping your recordings. Though, if you have a storage server / NAS / storage HDD (3TB+) in the house you can just move them to that and it’s a non-issue (or you delete recordings after uploading to YouTube).
One of the biggest game developers but for some reason are the only ones who can’t work on PC and consoles at the same time.
Power Supply should probably be Seasonic, Corsair, or another top manufacturer.
Boot drive should probably be 512GB minimum instead of 256GB or 120GB.
You want to get higher storage for write cycles more than extra space since Windows writes a lot.
That’s my only recommendations.
i thought be quiet was a top brand
I’m using WD Black series for a while now and had no issues with it.
It’s probably one of the best bang for your buck SSD out there.
i have already got a WD black in my current computer, so i was hoping to transfer it to the new PC
