My Google mailbox has been deactivated for a long time. What should I do

My Google mailbox has been deactivated for a long time and I am unable to receive emails normally. What should I do

Contact google support to have your email reactivated?

My email has been deleted by Google

Well what’s your problem? Is your 2FA on your email? If so contact support. The community can’t help you with that

Do you want to change your linked email?

Absolutely this… Hit up gaijin support as the forum/community can’t do anything.

But really, do chase up google and see if they can reactivate it for you.

If the email has been deactivated you should be able to remake the email with the same name you used last time, you won’t have access to the emails from when it was deleted but will be able to use it again.

I don’t think they allow that to happen. It’s a full on security issue if they did allow that to just be a thing. OP needs to hit up thier support to see if they can recover it.

I mean if it has be deleted you can’t normally get back it and also means the name used for the email would be available as its not taken unless its a super common email name “user1234” and wouldn’t be a security issue as you won’t have access to the old emails as they don’t exist.

Nope… It’s directly tied to security and the fact of remaking the email being an ingress into recovering someones other accounts elsewhere. That’s why they lock the names.

They can get it back if they chase up google if they are lucky and able to prove themselves.

It would still be a security issue because if someone else creates an email and accidentally (or on purpose) gets an old deleted account then they will start receiving all the emails intended for that account. All other accounts that email was used to create has not been deleted just because the email is.
then that new user can easily change passwords on a lot of those accounts.

some email providers I know delete accounts after a large period of time not used and users have reclaimed there emails by making a new account with the service and used the email name they used before hand to keep the address but don’t have any emails form when it was deleted as they treat it like a new email, but as said doesn’t work for gmail

It surprises me that that would work with any email provider. It really is a big security thing (Unless its internal work emails perhaps).

I mean people still use FTP and POP3 and for god knows what reason Telnet for remote connection so god knows but i have seen emails companys do it they shouldn’t you right.

Truth.
