My Desired Light Tank Tree for Israel

Gotta love how gaijin classes the Achzarit and Namers as “light tanks” when they weigh more than T-series tanks lmfao

The Namer weighs almost 10 tons more than the 2A4 and doesn’t even have a turret… Yes, it’s funny.

They could also add this

It’s pretty much a Zibar with a Lahat launcher. If would function like the Japanese type 93 but to my knowledge it was never built but it would be a cool light vehicle to add

I am A-Okay with this.

I’m not surprised. Honestly idk why Gajin added Israel in the first place if they’re just gonna neglect it like this.

There is a lot of vehicles that are missing from that image such as the following

  • BTR-40 TCM-20
  • BTR-152 ZU-23-2: Captured by Israel and handed off by pro-Israeli Christian Militias in Lebanon
  • BMP-1K
  • M3 DEFA 921 (D921)
  • Pirahna 6x6 TCM
  • RAMTA RBY Mk.1 (M40A1)
  • RAMTA RBY Mk.1 TCM: Built in Israel, operated by Guatemala and Cameroon. Eswatini also use RAM Mk.1’s but i still yet to find pics of them

Bro gaijin should hire you

This was just the pure bare bones of vehicles that are were mass produced/used (except the TCM-23) and also fully unique domestic vehicles (except the PT, partially, and the M-1).
A better description- except the PT no captured vehicles and except the TCM no one-off prototypes or conversions. And I guess the Degem Yud is a prototype but who’s gonna say no to that.

Most of the vehicles in that list are SPAA that while interesting wouldn’t really provide anything over the TCM-20 and 23 IMO.

The only vehicles I’d really add to the rank, excluding Chilean ones, would be the BMP-1 (didn’t know Israel used them, I’d have to do more research on the extent of their use before being certain. Also just realizing now that the BMP would still be Rank IV at like 6.3 or 6.7 same as the Swedish one), M3 90mm, and M38A1C (below)

It’s a lot easier to come up with a list of vehicles than to actually implement them, or even do enough research to begin to model them. I’ve got over 700 vehicles I’d like to see in-game, each with what I believe to be a reasonable BR and tree placement, but that doesn’t mean I’d have any of the technical skills or knowledge to do anything about it lol
Even just making forum suggestions I’ve gotten through a mere 14 this year

The problem is that no tech tree (TT), not even the USA or the USSR, can exist solely with mass-produced vehicles that served in their national army. So far, Gaijin has been very lazy with the copy-paste adorned vehicles that filled the Israeli TT…

I mean, I like the M60s, BUT WE HAVE 15 Magachs in the TT, that is, one out of every three vehicles is a Magach!!! And we still have the Sabras to go!

Out of 45 vehicles:

  • 15 Magachs
  • 9 Merkavas
  • 4 Centurions
  • 2 M51s
  • 2 M109s
  • 2 T-55s
  • 11 among M113s, M3/M5 half-tracks, and Soviet SPAAs.

Definitely, in the Israeli tech tree, all vehicles with Israeli technology should be included, except for Israeli modifications to vehicles whose national TTs are already present. For example, the Sabrah 105 should go to the Israeli TT, unless the Philippines were to enter the game.

Its not enough…

I NEED MY MAGACH 7A (And sabras ofc!!!)

Oh and here’s another funny one, a Magach 7A with a 120mm hehehe

Oh and there’s also the Magach Merkava…

Shall I go on? :P

(Maybe I should include some obligatory sabra posting haha)

Don’t get me wrong, I have all 15 Magachs unlocked! I love collecting them, but practically speaking, the TT needs some fresh air. It’s absurd that we only got reconnaissance drones in “Seek and Destroy” that came out in “Drone Age” almost two years later… And that Israel doesn’t have a decent top-tier SPAA. Heck, we just got Spikes on a 60+ ton platform (without a turret) with little protection, while Italy got them a year earlier.

I mean, I love the Magachs, but 15 in a tree of 45 vehicles, with huge gaps… You get me.

@Just_Baron The M24, M113 and M41. Are all Chilean modifications for those vehicles? They’re not Israelian. Facepalm🤦

The PT-76->Indian
The BMP-1->Captured Egyptian/Syrian. If anything the Indians would not be a sub-tree for Israel unsure where they would go.

First who the f says Israelien it’s Israeli.
Double facepalm🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Second Sweden got a captured king tiger, the us gets the ambt which is Turkish and Germany gets check vehicles. Israel captured those vehicles and also tested them which is more use then some vehicles that are in the game.

They were Chilean vehicles that were modified with technical assistance from Israel. Also those vehicles are also mentioned since there is a suggestion to add Chile as a Subtree for Israel largely due to close ties between the two nations

The PT-76->Indian

Wrong

Israel got their PT-76’s from captured examples from Egypt and Syria

I would add the FAMAE Piraña 6x6 HVMS from Chile to the list, it would be a perfect wheeled vehicle for BR 8.0, an equivalent to the Italian premium

This is incorrect. They are used by Chile, but not made by them. These vehicles were made by NIMDA. NIMDA is a company based in Israel.

The PT-76-2000 is not Indian either and was also made by NIMDA.

last time I listed it, I got even more backlash lol

where did you mention it? It is strange that it has negative reactions since my suggestion has a lot of support and taking into account that the turret and cannon are Israeli, it is perfect for Israel

It might be on the old forums.

And if I recall, it was because people wanted an independent South American Tree, so Chile being added to Israel would break that chance.

Though their South American Tree wouldn’t really work cause those countries don’t get along well.

Something similar happened when I suggested the GW Tiger. Lots of backlash.
