My Desired Light Tank Tree for Israel

To be honest, I didn’t know either until I went and watched some Elbit videos on it haha.

Also, the commander optic on the top stretches up really far

Not a light tank but didnt they do an M51 with the dorsal MG removed and reduced the crew by one? They could add that to the game and make another tank for 6BR.

Would any of your suggestions be pitched at 6BR?

Yeah, it’d ideally be part of a full Rank III addition. Israel needs to get the M-50, the first, most significant, and arguably most famous domestic tank design. I honestly don’t know why Gaijin started at Rank IV and not III or lower.

None currently, no. Unfortunately, Israel didn’t really seek out light vehicles that would fit 6.0 to my knowledge. Although it might remain a gap at 6.0, they can have a flourishing light tank tree either starting at 5.3 or 6.7

I could see Rank 3 being added for Israel eventually.

That is if Gaijin ever wants to actually do something with the Tree.

Not a light tank but a light TD, there’s this

Have you suggested this formally to the devs?

I’m sure other people have.

I just contacted CaID about the BMP and it looks like he’s going to make a suggestion on it though.

This one could work, but have fun convincing the German and Soviet mains on that when they cry they die to HEAT-FS even more around 5.0 and 7.0

And while I could see it as a 6.0 addition, it would be objectively worse than the M36B1 and B2, which sit at 5.7

Also, it’s a Tank Destroyer and not a Light Tank, so it probably wouldn’t be a start for any Light Tank Tree.

I think that might be the reason they stay away from many other nations is that they would flood the lower tiers with modern tech. Many still see the sub 6 or 7 BR as WW2 ,rightly or wrongly.

That’s the thing though. HEAT-FS isn’t exactly new tech though, it was first introduced formally in 1962 and existed in a limited capacity prior.

Though I can understand why people don’t want their King Tiger to see it, they must also understand that their Tiger sees 76mm Shermans.

Decompression is desperately needed.

But a HEAT-FS M3 Halftrack would be funny. It also would be a glass cannon, so it might honestly be fine at 5.7.

I love a good whine about era separation but it is damn hard to implement and please everybody.I can see why they dont do it.I think as you say ,maybe the Devs keep and eye on it though because of complaints…

It is an M3 Halftrack with only a 90mm gun. Surely it isn’t THAT HARD to cope with. If the B2 can exist at 5.7, this thing can also exist at 5.7

Now that Israel is in the game, the TAM 2CA2 from Elbit should be in the Israeli tech tree. It would be a good premium at 10.3 with IMI armor. It can also fire Lahat.

Would be nice, I do agree.

Though, admittedly, I don’t like the TAM 2 for some reason.

Well it’d be quite mobile at 72km/h and 17hp/tonne, and would have a nice 5s reload. There’s also the fact that the M36s themselves are undertiered, being at least as good as the M-51s, with all-around similar performance (perhaps a bit slower) but getting APHE which dramatically increases versatility.

Why would that be in Israel and not Germany with the rest of the TAMs?

That’s fair, sorry, I’m getting into your list. It’s just that I really like it, lol :)

Because now we have Israel and the TAM 2C project is an Argentine-Israeli project. The project precisely involves removing the 70s German technology and installing Israeli technology. On the outside, it doesn’t show much, but inside the tank is completely redesigned.

In my personal opinion, the TAM 2IP (IMI design) and the TAM 2C (Elbit design) should move to Israel, now that Israel is in the game. TAM didn’t even use DM63; they use M111 and M426 and other Israeli ammunition.

I’m absolutely for it. That’s what this list is for.

Just because I personally have an unknown reason for disliking the vehicle doesn’t mean it aint a cool addition.
