Multipathing and Track Mem(ory) should be nerfed

Multipathing should be nerfed at the higher echelon of the game. ARH missiles with modern seeker should be better at tracking low flying targets. This applies to both air launched (AAM) and ground based (SAM) ARH missiles. Hugging the deck shouldn’t give you the confidence that out of 10 missiles, only one could potentially damage you. Especially with missiles that has larger warhead, an altitude advantage should’ve guaranteed a severe damage.

Note that not all aircraft are capable of wielding a dozen ARH missiles and gambling on shooting at a multipathing target, especially when being pressured or outnumbered. This makes it extremely difficult for aircraft with lower munition counts. Not only do they have to deal with their missiles being intercepted mid-air, a good positioning might not reward them as well. I admit that I wasn’t so sure if radar performance could affect the multipathing parameter of SARH missiles so I leave it at that. This would be best if implemented by scale. The higher the BR, the less effective multipath would be as the player skill increase.

If implemented correctly, the effectiveness of top down or semi-top down attack will significantly increase. This would hopefully lead to a better planning and positioning. A proper SEAD would also be required to eliminate enemy SAM systems because I love larping instead of multipathing all the time like sweats.

TRACK MEM is a radar mode that typically activates when locked target perform evasive maneuvers and/or deploys countermeasures intended to spoof the radar. Few missiles excels at maintaining lock due to their tracking method being different than other (CW vs Pulse). However, TRACK MEM is also capable of providing accurate track of target beyond the gimbal limit. I’ve especially noticed this when performing last second ditch to notch and finding my missiles still connects.

Yes, IOG does exists and in close proximity or against unmaneuvering targets it could maintain proper vector. The opposite could be said when the target is actively maneuvering and changing direction. This is especially beneficial to R-27ER due to its higher acceleration.

Understand that the issues lies everywhere (BR compressions, seeker sensitivity, RCS value, premium vehicls, etc) and has to be addressed simultaneously to actually better the game as a whole.
