youre smoking some strong stuff to think a Scimitar LEP can go above 8.3 even with the APFSDS that was NEVER used
Thermals, plasan armour packages and a tank laser sight will only improve the scimitar to be a worse armoured warrior alternative without an ATGM launcher.
no stabilisation of the gun either
all the scimitars in the files could only appear at 8.0
the scorpion variant (sabre) is literally just scimitar again from gameplay
the diesel wont give much advantage from the extra weight and mk2 is an extra third taller.
huuh idk yesterday i was playing top br with my Leo2A7V and got killed by a few 2s38 frontal shoots
For me its ok if they go up since it would mean 9.3 and 9.7 would be more safer from these annoying creatures
Btw some ppl dont want it 10.7 because it ruins their lineup or something? Excuse me but when i want to play Leopard 2A4 i need to pair it with 11.0 and face full uptiers because germany has no 10.7 lineup.
And russia DOES have 10.7 lineup, you guys will have 2S6 and a T80
2s38 is utter trash that used to be OP back when it was first introduced when the ammorack was much smaller and there was a bug that it wouldn’t detonate right now it’s completely useless
If you think the 2S38 is OP in almost February 2026, I got a bridge to sell. Survivability? It’s got none. Hull down won’t save you. Ammo? It’s ok for an IFV. Fire rate? Meh at best. Autoloader is easily knocked out and without it you can’t fire. IRST? A lot of other IFVs also have IRST. HEVT? You also have it on the Begleit. So how is it OP? Cause it killed you from the side? That’s a skill issue. For you.
Nor do any light tanks at or around this BR, the 2S38 is not unique because it cant take a hit
It makes you a substantially smaller target to see and to hit, this is a notable advantage given the remote turret that not all AFVs at this BR have, many you have to expose yourself far more to do the same that the 2S38 can. The remote turret also means that no crew is lost if only the turret is hit

2S38 has substantially more powerful ammo at this BR. Unless im mistaken, the only autocanon that beats it, is the HSTVL at 12.0 and that only has 273mm at 100m. Not that much more.
Fire rate isnt listed on the wiki for autocanons, but it seems fairly decent to me, certainly not RADEN slow, but maybe beaten out by the other AFVs. but They have limited ready racks. Ive been caught out a few times in the Ajax where ive needed to stop and hide somewhere to let the ready rack reload, 2S38 has an essentially unlimited ready rack as its the full belt.
It appears to have the exact same aircraft tracker as the Ajax, cant comment on the others, but I dont think its universal. This gives the 2S38 a great ability to deal with helis, low flying jets and drones, especially combined with the HE-VT
Some like the Ajax have HE-TF and AHEAD, others like the PUMA only have AHEAD. This does give the 2S38 a lot of ability to play flexi role. HE-TF works but no where near as good as HE-VT. The larger round also likely makes quite a difference in terms of AA
So… When directly compared to its competition, its either identical or a lot stronger. Especially its darts which are incredibly strong for an autocanon vehicle. The fact its only now going up to 10.7 and only 10.7 is actually kinda insutling.
If you consider the 2S38 so bad, maybe its not the 2S38 being bad that is at fault
compare the strf 9040c to the 2s38. 50 pen less, 26 round ready rack and slow reload, 2/3 crew in turret, better fire rate but worse postpen. and only gets -3 more depression. Clearly far inferior and shouldn’t be at the same br.
