Move ZTZ59D1 to 8.7

The ZTZ59D1 is a Chinese T54 at 8.3 with an LRF, 2-plane stab, ERA, and APFSDS. Besides from its mobility, its an insanely OP tank with most NATO 105 APDS being unable to pen it from the front. Now, if we look at its closest counterpart(s), M60A1 Rise (P) (8.7) and the T-55AMD-1 (8.7), which both have similar stats compared to the ZTZ59D1. I don’t see how the ZTZ59D1 is balanced at all.

It was there until they removed the thermals, as that was ZTZ-59D, rather than D-1, which ended up in lowered BR. It isn’t that OP cause still single plane stabilising, as long as u don’t hit the ERA, which means hit the normal weak spots. Again, more of a decompression issue, M60A1 has more ERA coverage, better mobility as well as much better fire control, two plane stabilising and turret traverse. T55AMD has APS as well as far superior hull armour.

Single plane stabilizer and horrible turret traverse rate…also move the T-69II G to 8.7

Tanks with extremely slow aim time might seem OP if you only look at stats and don’t actually have any experience aiming and shooting with them. Its difficult to fire on the move even with the single plane stabilizer since the gun moves too slow to track moving targets or compensate for hull rotation. A small bump in the terrain could greatly throw off the aim and take a long time to adjust for. This also makes it difficult to aim for weak spots especially against moving targets.

The poor aim time combined with the slow reverse speed also makes it dangerous to take shots and fallback behind hard cover, such as for urban or hull down fighting, relegating the 59D to a static long range sniper role. Even in a sniper role the poor depression and aim time make it difficult to fight on uneven terrain.

Basic situational awareness could prevent most deaths from 59Ds.

I wasn’t trying to say that it should move to 8.7, T-69iiG should move down to 8.7, T-59d should stay at 8.3 because it has only single plane stabilization AND a crappy turret traverse

Sorry I replied to the wrong post. I meant to reply to the first post.

I do disagree about the T-69-IIA. Although I think its definitely worse than the ZTZ-88A its pretty much a side-grade to the ZTZ-88B. The issue is that there isn’t currently a BR between 8.7 and 9.0 to put the both the 88B and 69-IIA into.

You’re confusing the 69IIa which is at 8.3( still bad tank imo) with the 69IIG which is 9.0. The 69IIg is a sidegrade of the T-55am basically, it has a better 105 mm gun but the armor is worse, it retains all the issues of the T-55 chassis and it doesn’t deserve 9.0 br imo.

I miss-typed. I was referring to the 69-IIG which is the same BR as the ZTZ-88A and ZTZ-88B.
