If they were at 11.0 they’d be even stronger than they are now.
That’s my point, it’s already so strong, if the BR is lowered it would encourage even more sales.
and encourage everyone not to play that BR bracket, ruining the balance and a big outrage in the community.

That sounds more like an excuse for power creep than it is improving sales of the Mig-23ML. Why exactly should gaijin lower the Mig 23ML in br when it certainly has been purchased quite a lot already and its popularity is still very strong? You are going under your own assumption that lowering it’s br would improve sales of an existing vehicle which is probably in terms of sales doing just fine, doing that would just be milking as much money out of it as possible which might not be much seeing as even if it stays 11.3 it will still very much sell and it wouldn’t change much as you have plenty of players who already own it so it would mean that you might have to rely on more newer players to buy it, and if anything it would actually be worse since making it a better vehicle means they might not have to rely on premium time and GE as much so overall gaijin might not actually profit more by lowering it’s br. By comparison they could make more money by adding a completely new premium vehicle that the existing player base can buy along with the newer players and might not undermine any reliance on premium time and GE.
Simply put if a premium pack vehicle is selling badly and gaijin want to make a profit they don’t make it more powerful, they just remove it from sale and replace it with something newer and repeat the process. The benefits may not outweigh the consequences.
Actually true, I think it’s going to be obsolete soon when they add a Rank VIII premium aircraft for top tier grinding. Although with this assumption lowering its BR to drive out the last interest in the vehicle would definitely let Gaijin maximize their profit.
Yeah adding a bit of FOMO always helps.
Developing vehicles takes development time new shiny vehicles attract new playerbase, you can’t put all your vehicles behind a paywall or that will undercut new player attention although Whaling is most certainly the most effective way to generate profit for a game with this pricing model. Higher tier vehicles means you can charge even more.
He is not actually arguing what you think he is arguing. He is salty that it, or another premium, didnt get moved up. So now he is going with the “they wont move it up? clearly this is only for profit and nothing to do with balance. Why not move it to 11.0 because they only care about selling premiums.”

They already deal with this, as they have vehicles developed ahead of time or reskin existing vehicles into premiums.

In fairness, I haven’t bothered to read the whole thread with how long it is despite being made like 2 days ago, and I never looked at the thread until the original post was hidden so I didn’t even have the full original context. Though in any case even if that is the case it doesn’t change my view on it in the fact that going by the title of the post is quite stupid.
Dont worry about it. It is not something you would have learned from just reading this thread. You learn it from dealing with him in general. You can tell when he is grinding because he will make multiple threads. There was also that one time where his thread about maps got locked so he went and started necroing a bunch of map related threads. He is an interesting character.

I don’t know if the playerbase is ready for a premium MIG-29. They do seem to be more than accepting of the MIG-23ML.
Yes, and that’s why a premium MiG-23ML exists and a premium MiG-29 does not.

That’s some stupid reason.
My point is that they are already very potent weapons at their current BR, moving the MiG-23ML would also mean moving the MLD, MLA, and MiG-23M down as well.
All of these aircraft perform well enough at their current BRs and don’t need to be changed. (though you could probably make a point for the MiG-23M to go down since it’s only got 12 CM cartridges.)
You’re arguing for the sake of “nuh uh” now and it’s frankly stupid.
The MiG-23ML series do not need to go down in BR, they’re already performing well.

I believe some of those planes are not equivalent.
That is also my point.
Mig-23ML and Mig-23MLA are, as far as I am aware. Identical. There is no difference that I could see.
(I looked thoroughly as its the basis of my argument to get the Mig-23ML moved from 11.0 to 11.3 in SB)
From what I recall hearing the only difference is apparently in the radar, also from what I recall in-game it lacks the ability to mix the the larger missiles (i.e. it cannot carry a R-24R and R-24T at the same time). Apparently the radar of the MLA is suppose to have slightly better tracking but I don’t have the ML so I can’t confirm this in-game, though in any case they really are just about identical outside of those two differences.
