Sure it’s a bit complicated for a horse and for Gaijin. It’s likely just going to be like enlisted where you have something very basic. In enlisted you can usually tank 2 bullets unless you have body armour. Or if you received a head shot then it’s one.
Keeping things simple is likely how Gaijin will go sadly but respectable. The whole thing with mounts is because it could have some utility and it’s historical.
Thanks!
I would compare horses to L3 and wiezel by volume, yet infantry having guts themselves would really be great :D
I think Gaijin wants to keep there age rating

Tactical Llama
with that gun the way its pointed Tactical LIama knows there is no retreat, no serrender no step back! Its a Full Frontal Liama!
Llama understands the Order 227 lol
Pack animals would be useful in infantry even if they don’t have a MG strapped to them. Extra ammo would be a good nice to have especially if you can call them to you for an extra rocket.

Not sure if it should be added but it would be funny. Australian light horse regiment ww1. In ww1 they did one of the last successful cavalry charges in history, at Beersheba 1917. (Photo of the 3 regiment unsure if they participated, though the uniforms are cool.)

They got the swords but if I remember right they requested that as in that era only true cavalry could have them and a light horse regiment was mounted infantry not a true cavalry unit. Apparently the swords was what made there charges work as mounted infantry could easily get bogged down in infantry without the sword.
I would just like to have horses in infantry as a ridable unit as they are useful to this day mainly as a patrol unit then again the whole Afghanistan “Thee first American cavalry charge of the 21st century” where they called down airstrikes. Horses where sort of needed as fuel for resupply would be a issue Afghanistan did not have a million gas stations to fall back on like other countries.
In real life horses are great in bad terrain or when logistics for gas are not available so ideal for special forces. They also are harder to spot, make less noise, might not trigger some weapons, and produce less heat though the vet bill is a real issue which was one reason USA stopped using them in Afghanistan for major patrol duty as fixing a armored car is cheaper / swapping it out. Also people get attached to animals not vehicles so not great for moral if something happens. A armored car will also save you from IEDs and gun fire a horse cannot.
