A few days ago, I had a discussion with other players on the Chinese War Thunder community on Baidu Tieba about the performance of T80U. Most players believed that T80U’s performance was insufficient, while a small number of players thought it was mediocre. Almost no one thought T80U was a good 11.7 tank
The 3BM46 has insufficient performance in 11.7, and the T80U’s steering and altitude control are very slow. It is difficult to accurately hit enemies during high-speed maneuvering, and low heat imaging is rarely used. While there is almost no first mover advantage, the weakness on the front is huge
Especially when facing shells such as DM53 and even M829A2, the frontal protection of T80U cannot be considered excellent, as these two shells have the ability to penetrate any part of T80U at close range
T80UE1 with the same BR has faster steering, better thermal imaging, and is said to be able to emit 3BM60, but for some unknown reason, it has not been distributed.
Suggest confiscating the almost unusable thermal imaging of T80U, reducing BR to 11.3, and returning 3BM60 to T80UE1, as well as returning the previously confiscated DM53 of Leopard 2 PL to T80UE1
its got annoyingly small weakspots for certain ammo types, most of the tank is impervious to all ammos of the BR bar a random absurd ATGM
however this is just a rule for war thunder, NEVER RELY ON ARMOUR EVER, there will always be a guy with a few thousand hours that knows how to consistently kill a maus with the CVRT scimitar or something else insane.

woa now you cant be claiming that the abrams is good on the English speaking forums. all the American mains that suck ass think its like the ariete and not a slightly different looking leo 2.
I found it did not make a difference on Abrams, rather only making a proper difference on Spall Liner Leos, as they actually take sideshot damage. The biggest nerf wasn’t the baskets, rather the Trunnion changes on 2A5 and up Leos, as the breach is a lot larger.
After how gaijin backtracked i dont think complaining about the basket hurtbox being made smaller than it ought to have been is a fair thing to complain about. especially with the T64s all having the autoloader modelled for months now
You just proved that you don’t play Top Tier at all, i’ve recently played a leo and i play the Abrams literally everyday and the basket nerf has literally made both of the tanks super weak and easy to disable.
Since the nerf and Gaijin implementing the autoloader to the T-series acts like a straight spall liner, i’ve played my T80-UK,T80UM2 and it saved me several times.
I do play top tier, and quite often at that. I’m sorry but if you think the T-Series tanks > Leo now, its a skill issue.

It’s facts, unfortunately we’re going to agree to disagree, a sane person would definetly say the same and if you actually tried the Abrams you wouldn’t say that it rocks and its far away from rocking.

my last statement on this is not tf its not. abrams players have just been so damn awful for so long we all got our target practice in enough to be able to kill them blindfolded
The Abrams is already awful especially the ones at 12.0,11.7 with literally no hull improvements and an exposed turret ring with incorrect fuel tanks bulkheads, so go ahead and blame it all on the players even though i agree there are shit players but fix the tanks first atleast and lets see if the WR go through the roof.
