i maxed my backups earlier today and just got 5 more from a reward
why is this bad…
not complaining, just thought it wasnt supposed to be possible since i cant buy more than 100 backups

I have over 1,000 universal backups from crates lol. I have not put 100+ backups on one vehicle though 😂
Since they aren’t useful in Air RB, you might consider playing some Air AB matches and using some of those backups to get it spaded, if you play RB usually.
I do usually play RB and I already have it spaded, though backups are more useful now with the bullet hell gamemode, as it has a similar mechanic to AB (3 lives, you can use backups)

once i’ve applied them on a vehicle (as shown in the picture) i can’t do anything with them other than use them in a match

But AB gives piss poor rewards. RB is more efficient I think, even if stock. There are exceptions like the sakeen, unusable in Air RB but quite decent in AB

(I’m sure you have heard this before), but I always highly recommend getting premium time if you don’t have any/ran out. Increasing research speed is not the best bonus imo, it is the increased Silver Lion income, AND the insurance against losing SL’s from a bad match:
The 180 days of premium time on the webstore is the best/easiest/cheapest way to get premium time, $20 when it goes on sale a couple times a year. So, $40 per year if you get another 180 days each sale.
It saves so much time not only in research speed, but the increased SL’s allows you to purchase what you unlocked, and have enough to get that expert training on the vehicles you enjoy/play often 😉

This is the way.
I always advice people to buy premium time during sales, it is the best value for money in the game.
Also as a little sidenote/tip. If you research a vehicle, especially in the higher ranks, but don’t feel the immediate need to buy it, check from somewhere if there is a possibile sale coming up soon-ish (depending on how long you can wait without buying it).
You can save massive amounts of SL when buying researched vehicles during sales.
(Me waiting for the birthday sales so i can buy like 10 researched vehicles at a bargain)

xbox account, so probably wouldnt get the discounts even if i looked out for them
also, i’m kinda waiting for the xbox account unlinking service to come back before i make any meaningfull purchases (if it ever does)
