Modern battle tanks effective armor protection values in statcard

Hello.

I’ve recently watched a video, featuring 2017’ Leopard 2A5, from April Fools event. I found it interesting how it showed effective KE and CE protection for hull and turret, just like in real-life info tables, not only showing the thickness of outer armor, which is essentially a useless piece of information for top tier.

It would indeed be more proper to see effective KE/CE values, where it actually would matter to look at when choosing for a future top-tier vehicle you’re gonna go for. This, of course, will heavily depend on where the shot may be taken, but same issue is consistent to some WW2 vehicles too, in fact (usually that have cast armor).
Fun fact: T-60 already has sort of effective protection shown: it’s 15mm thick plate placed at 70 degrees from normale is stated as 35mm in stat card. However, T-60 is not a modern battle tank.

The change is simple: on modern tanks, starting from T-64A, XM803, AMX 40, etc. all the way up to top-tier tanks like T-90M, M1A2, Leclerc, replace hull armor and turret armor with KE&CE hull protection, and KE&CE turret protection, most likely as two separate lines.

Examples:

What do you think of this old, gold but removed little update to the game?

Making the stat card slightly useful would be nice

this tbh was a sweat attempt for suggestion cus I failed with previous suggestion, though I did a good research. I will shortly update stat cards with more clean examples, they rn look compressed and info is wrong if you look precisely

Edited text a little, changed statcards, now they look much better with quality standard. Obviously the areas where I placed the shots to measure effective protection are very subjective, but I believe this is how Gaijin would make it - rather rely on smth average than shoot the weakspots where armor drops down to 300mm max.

T-90M really puts things into perspective
