Modern ARH (FOX 3) Missile - History, Performance & Discussion

Su-34 can carry like x6 et which is fiction lol. It can also carry 8x r77 which I think is also wrong, should be 6 if I remember right.
Edit*
Or even none*

Should be none

its doubtful if they will add loal for now even if they dont , r27et’s seeker will have a much better lock range than the normal r27et’s seeker u can simply guide it with tws from long range and it has much better kinematics than mica ir.

It does not get datalink. No loal. Only r74m2 gets that for Russia

u dont need those to launch it with a soft lock using tws.

You can’t guide it using tws though, like mid course. I probably mis understood you, launch through tws sure

yea , i was talking abt launching it using tws. no mid course updates.

According to a primary source the prototype of the Meteor missile contains a fuel mass of 40kg and we know it burns it in about 2.5 seconds.

A bit longer maybe. Afaik 4 Meteors can take the place of 4 AMRAAMs in the F-35’s bay, so i don’t think that there’s a big difference between the two

not by a large enough amount to b e relevant, its smaller than pl15 by a decent bit

amraams will get guidance delay changes before long, its a pretty large weakness right now.

The guidance delay is in part not because of balance or whatever but it seems to be based on the developers choice of interpretation of the sources. AIM-120A/B guidance delay requires rework. // Gaijin.net // Issues

Not saying that things can’t change though but I would suspect if anything changes that it is based on sources and future reports.

explain?

the guidance delay is a problem as much as the lackluster aoa they pull

we were discussing about the modernized r27et.

weight ?

MICA is lighter than AMRAAM ? Unless we are compering it to a 9x, in this case sure

It may have been MICA IR vs ASRAAM/IRIS-T and not MICA EM vs AMRAAM. I think the plan was always the recessed AMRAAM and then later Meteor for the EFT

AD4A’s derivative yes

And i’ve got a feeling Meteor MLU is also going to use a derivative from MICA NG’s AESA seeker

yeah in this case it would make sense, MICA is quite chonky for an IR missile

So probably will be a blue vixen data used for CAPTOR-M and PS/05 situation for the METEOR

Either that or the AAM-4B? AESA seeker.
