Modeling Autocannon Fire Accuracy

I expected nothing less from Gaijin.

It’s a shame that a game with so much potential ends up being mediocre, throwing into a blender absurd RNG, horrible maps, damage models from a 1998 game, a poor penetration model, bullets and volumetric armor that generate absurd ricochets, and in many cases, terrible balancing that’s only tolerable because it’s based on vehicle performance, which is affected by the aforementioned errors.

I think this is why the game is doomed, because the solution would be to correct all these errors, and that would mean changing the Battlegrounds, and consequently doing a lot of work without much benefit. The devs are trapped by their own mistakes.

I would accept the redo of all autocannons in fact. Keeping the 35-40mm as they are while nerfing 20-30mms (excluding SPAA cannons, mostly it is like that that FF cannons have lower caliber) is diabolical in terms of game balance. Especially when they are balanced with the BR (e.g. VBC with FF 25mm 9.7 while Bradley at 8.3)

I was just talking about this in a different thread, my opinion on the 2A42 and bushmasters:

That actually makes sense! I would love to see such an implementation, so both will be pleased.

The whole BMPT implementation is questionable. Expecially since we have that much RL footage showing its autocannons wobble alot while firing.

What’s that? IRL footage? That’s just more evidence for the devs and the community to ignore!

I also would love that, but the devs won’t, though. The only thing they seem to be interested in is adding more overpriced vehicles they can sell rather than working on and fixing the long-standing issues with gameplay mechanics and balancing.

Indeed it is. Source.
