I get slapped here and there by fakours - always my fault pushing it just a little too long - but yh im still surprised how many 120s still hit.
EF min fuel and no 9Ms gets them by surprise i guess.

It definitely is worth the better pull
Especially against more skilled players
You’re just lying and using a terrible source (MatAWG is universally agreed to be very untrustworthy for rating any vehicle/weapon’s performance) to make yourself sound right
I already made my mind up.about the AAM4 before the vid.
Last night again. 10km dunks all miss- no other fox 3 is this unreliable
And another crit assist (recorded) …wish.com fox 3
Almost twice bigger delta-v for aam-4 report is passed to the developers for over a year now, gaijins are definitely not lazy
You say that but the derby pl12 and r77 are worse than the aam 4 when it comes to hit a moving target past 10 km
And to be fair if the aam 4 was that bad i wouldnt have a 3.4 kd in the F2a

I hope Gaijin eventually adds the ASM-3—at least with GPS guidance—so we can get a JDAM with Mach 3 speed.
So while thinking about 4 ASM-3 loadout, I’ve made a quick research about F-2 payload capacity and found smth unclear.
Japanese wiki (with a link to “F-2、その持てる力を検証する」『航空ファン』No.703、文林堂、2011年7月”) gives these numbers:
Payload: 8085 kg.
Empty mass: 9527 kg.
Max takeoff weight: 22100 kg.
Effective load capacity (???): 4022 kg.
Maximum external payload: 6,339 kg.
What is “effective load capacity”? English wiki gives “gross weight” of 13,459 kg, which gives us 3932 kg of fuel and other… Stuff. Which is pretty close to “effective load capacity” from japanese wiki. With max takeoff weight of 22100 kg it should give us ~8600 kg of external payload.
6339 kg translates only to the magazine from japanese wiki sources. Unfortunately, it is not publicly available, so I can’t verify anything from it (would be nice if smb here has it and post it with clear identification “this data is from the Magazine!”). 8085 kg translates to probaly Jane’s 2002-2003. The max takeoff weight of 22100 kg is translated to 1993 magazine about FS-X program. So, it is more then possible that real max takeoff weight decreased without public known, but everyone just keep cytating the old magazine, which means that quick calculation with a result of ~8600 is completely wrong.
And which number is closer to the reality?
Btw, gaijins number is 5900 kg.
pointless since aam-3 is miles better than those anyway. We need AAM-4B
Ofc the AAM-3 is better, Gaijin just decided to make the grind a bit more miserable.
“Nearly double” would only be using very very (too generous) assumptions, realistically from what we know and I said in the report it would be looking more at like 20% more DeltaV then it has right now.
Anyways, in the most recent dev server they reduced the DeltaV on the AAM-4 with a flat reduction to its Thrust. Dunno why, when the evidence already points to our in game version as having a worse motor then it should. It didn’t even correct the issue of the booster stage having too high peak acceleration, as its still well above the rated limit.
I’m not resending the original report I made to correct the dev server version, as its unlikely to be accepted again due to it’s reliance on calculated/assumed values. However I did make a report showing that the current dev implementation is still deffinitly wrong, so hopefully gaijin will look at their changes to it and revise it some more.

Well, gaijin just hate Japan so it is was expected
Why doesn’t the F-2 attack Point 3 and point 5 when dropping JDAMs? It drops 6 bombs, not 8.
you can see intakes… they just have covers on them :D
And they did not give it’s PRH
@Smin1080p_WT Ive witnessed that the aam 4 despite the changes got worse in terms of acceleration off the rail and time to target
It only got very slightly better energy retention which is negligible since the time to target is still worse
Currently its ISP is worse than the aim 7 sitting at 234 ISP while all other fox 3 (minus the fakours and pheonix) is 239 ISP
Overall it got worse than all the other missiles that got a buff this update
There is a bug report that has been open for over a year concerning the motor performance

Is there any chance the aam 4 get fixed
It just got marked as “fixed”. xd
