At that point its only straight down close range - just use JDAMs

Did the AAM4s also.get nerfed sometime? They were always weak but from what iv seen tbis weekend i wont even touch the F2 again in a hurry. So many crits and assists and even the 10km head on dunks were just missing
Its not just the scan speed either- jets are phasing in and out (nowhere near as bad as it was before “fix”
They have always worked just fine for me and still do.

The seeker works the exact same as most other medium range fox3 (mica and the GNSS capable missiles being the exception).
The missile itself is quite good, can do everything decently, can pull good off the rail, can glide well at range, among the highest explosive payload.
And it doesn’t suffer from autopilot bugs like the PL-12/12A and Derby/R-Darter
I would take it over any other missile except R-77-1 or MICA
AAM4 ranks a fat last place for close range
Not much better at range either

He is spot on, my own experience confirms
Using tbe f15 with 4x AAM4 and 4 x 120 it becomes obvious that the 120s are far superior.
Its the only missile iv seen players just turn 180 in the NEZ and fly away
I won’t even waste my time watching his stuff, he is largely known for low quality WT informational videos and dumb takes.
AAM4 are so much better in HOBS, and accelerate slightly faster
The NEZ zone in your radar is innacurate, for some missiles more than others

I was at alt. Around 10km from the raf. The raf just did a 180 and flew away.
This isnt happeming with the 120s. Watch vid and you will see why. Gutless as a missile gets
