I have all the January-December 2019 issues in my possession, but unfortunately I can’t find any article that looks like it. Are they really from 2019?
maybe someone give me a fake information sorry about this
The ADTW premium is currently 13.0. It could (SHOULD) have been added alongside F-16C and it would have fit in perfectly as a slower, more maneuverable sidegrade. There is zero reason for it to have only been added now.
I don’t want to give up. Maybe it will be on the 2020’s. I encourage you to pursue that source of information as well.
In a perfect world where all information is available in one location in one language, that would be the case.
We live in an imperfect world and research is dictated by information availability and language barriers.
That and the F-2 ADTW in hindsight is a great premium candidate, cause the alternative would’ve been a sub-tree premium or something entirely copy-paste rather than just copying [most/all of] the airframe of another jet.
I was personally hoping F-16 OCU would’ve replaced 16AJ, but that fell through when they still haven’t added Thailand’s F-16A MLU.
i can not find it sorry maybe it is really wrong.
Since I don’t live in Japan, I can’t verify much of the information. However, if you do find a feature article titled “ F-2支援戦闘機 最終生産号の技術検証”, I’d be very happy if you could share it with me. I have a guess—could this be a special feature or a magazine extra?
This is kinda worrying, minimun target radius 10m for the penguin? so smaller than that doesnt lock? Why do I feel the asm its going to get the same
Honestly I’m just so over this. Pretty clear indication they’re gonna screw over the ASM-2, won’t even matter if we bug report the RWR to J/ASQ-2 since we don’t have any solid concrete info on it so they’ll just change the name and that’s it. Can go ahead and try if you want, but I’m not gonna bother wasting my time.
Yeah, considering thats all they did for the JP eagles…
(Fun fact: The J/APR-4 is not, in fact, a japanese produced APR-4, instead its an entirely seperate RWR which just shares a designation type.)
Also the F-15J(M) should have have the J/APR-4B, which is two versions (and 3 decades) newer then the version it has in game, but its still going to be the exact same version in game. Because apparently something being 3 decades newer isn’t enough evidence it should be better for gaijin.
Basically the only countries who are going to get better RWRs in the future are the US, because they’d cry if they didn’t, France, because they actually talk about theirs occasionally, and Russia, because gaijin. And NGL I find it kind of sad.

Got 4 bug reports cooking today! Be sure to look out for them so we can get the F-2 even stronger:
1: J/AAQ-2 does not remain tracking objects when the radar loses lock
2: J/APG-2 is lacking redundant slaving to J/AAQ-2 when it loses lock
3: J/AAQ-2 does not provide datalink updates when the J/APG-1’s deviation exceeds its own
4: J/AAQ-2 does not not provide datalink updates with the J/APG-2 turned off
kinda off-topic, but China also still don’t have 14.0, I think if it aligns well with the “Leaklist”, maybe F-2 eventually gets an HMD for balance purposes, and China gets J-10B/C so it can fight on par with other 14.0.
But, worse case scenario, the F-2 is just glorified JF-17.
Just red your reports on AAM-4, very well written and as far I understand actually passed moderation, any updates on that front? It already was 9 month and as far as I know AAM-4 wasn’t changed a bit since then
Sadly there has been no update on them, i was hoping we’d see something this patch, but no word so far… TBF they are things which require pretty major back end work to implement, so they’re probably pretty low down on gaijin’s priority list, as sad as it is they didn’t get around to them for this update.
Well, from what i understood it suppoded to be a pretty major buff overall so maybe we would see at least some of it implemeted since AIM-120C made it way and now it’s not gonna be OP. After all it is only first out of probably usual 3 dev updates
Yeah I really thought Japan and China would both get a 14.0 this update but gaijin thinks otherwise I guess
Can’t find these bugreports. Also, do you have plans for bugreport about AAM-4 on inner pylons? Maybe even HMD? Maybe your reports will have more sources, than existing
Working on them rn, they’re not up yet.
I do not intend on bug reporting AAM-4s on inner pylons, given the accuracy and specificity otherwise shown in the loadout, with ASMs on the inner most ones, gaijin seems quite sure they can’t use MRMs specifically, and i do not have any higher sources then anyone else for it. HMD i might take a swing at but is unlikely to come.
I’m working on a report for that right now, but since it’s based on likely technical capability, not confirmed loadouts of the F-2 it’s difficult and there is a high chance it will still be rejected by moderation due to relying more heavily on images than written sources.
But even if it passes it is a report that heavily relies on subjective dev judgement, and for all we know from the earlier leaked model they already considered and rejected the idea on their own, so there is another very high chance that nothing from the report will be new information to them and it will be rejected.
Though I’d be very interested if they have any specific reasons for discarding the idea that we might not know of.
Didn’t one of the Tornados get extra JDAM pylons not seen on any airframe IRL or any stores diagrams based purely on pictures of the pylons? I think it’s good enough to get inboard AAM-4s because there seems to be the markings and connection points present on the pylons.
