Gaijin apparently missed the whole HOTAS-functional control stick thing.
Why copy what should not be copied from the F-15C and not copy what can be copied?

Depends on what year the F-15J is in WT

2007 I presume, correct me if I am wrong. The model we have in the DEV right now is capable of carrying AAM-5

I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with the Japanese F-15

Its pretty much the latest one (considering JSI has not yet been built).

That and I’ve also noticed that the “sensor stick” of the JHMCS is not modelled in the first person view, but third:

Latest one is the JSI with AESA radar but their production is halted for now from what I read and we have the second best version in game. Just wanted to clear up the info

Good observation

Please remember that F-15 JSI will be assembled in the future and has not been cancelled or frozen.

It would be, though none has been completed as of now. I have heard rumors that one is currently undergoing modification to JSI, but those are still only rumors for now.

Those are also just rumors, as is a lot about it. Reality is still continuing, despite rumored first flights in the last two years being “delayed” (more likely just false rumors). The most recent rumor I’ve heard was for a first flight in late 2024/early 2025, but that is again just a rumor and shouldn’t just be taken as a fact unless we have official confirmation.

If it’s the latest one, could we get them to model symmetrical J/APQ-1 on the tail? The asymmetry is killing me lol. At least on the US one it’s the same color as the camo.

Tbh, its up to them and judging on the Skin (and other), the implementation is accurate.

IMO it looks like those with symmetrical J/APQ-1 belong to the ADTW flight squadron, although not all of them have the ADTW markings, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything, there were similar cases with the F-4EJ Kai, where airframes from the JASDF service were temporarily sent to ADTW for tests and were not marked with the ADTW emblems.

Oh I’m aware, but it’s all arbitrary at the end of the day (I also liked the covering for the hook, but it’s accurate there too to not have it).

Hopefully we get multiple GE camos on launch this time, especially ones that cover the fuel tanks.

Oh yes, I personally would like to see the Fighting Dragon 2022 livery ^^

I’d love to see more blue, yes:

I do also hope they come without squadron emblems so we can put our own.

I imagine they’ll save the dual sensor model for thr even later version with AAM5s and AAM4Bs or similar, ans just implement them the same in game

At least the implementation of the F-15J(M) is basically accurate to the model. However, because it is a newer model, it does not have the AAM-4B/5/5B that it should be equipped with, but this is not an option. Therefore, I believe that the only things currently lost are the MAWS (J/APQ-1) and the performance of the AAM-4. Well, with AMRAAM, in the worst case scenario, the performance of the AAM-4 is not important…

it’ll be viable either way, I think adding the 120s was a good balance choice on gajin’s part as it just being limited to four active radar missiles does make tactical sense irl, it’s not as good for the game (although I imagine 4x4 loadouts are going to be standard reguardless as you will still get to shooting range even with these new missiles)
