only real upgrades in terms of equipment is just aam5/b and aam4b. everything is already added, although there is the f15j jsi thing, although only a few of them got made
I thought the JSI wasnt deployed/finished yet?
supposedly they bought all the radars, but cancelled the program after making a few of the jsi aircraft. jsi is still plausible to add to the game, since multiple aircraft were made
Ill put this in a edit to not bloat this thread as much, its likely it’ll come retroactively for the new f15j, since gaijin has demonstrated multiple times that when they add new missiles, they add it to all the aircraft that uses them unless it doesn’t fit the br they have intended for it.
examples are the r73 and all the su25s and the aim120 and the f16c
another example is the aim9m and the harrier, although with the addition of aim120s, its going to be raised from 11.7 to 12.3
so there is hope to still have a F15J upgrade in the TT
From what I understand the project has not been cancelled, but there is also no completed aircraft yet. I remember the first flight being planned for 2025, though I could be wrong on that.
Im mainly going off of what is in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfWSCosAyKM&t=327s, and man, its funny how lots of what he said came true, though they just skipped the msip and went straight to mtdp and a shitty arh missile
Yea, they just copied the F-15J pre-MSIP cockpit just to have it I guess. The bug report got acknowledged so hopefully it will be fixed later.
I’m sure they’ll fix this eventually, but if it’s intentional, it might be that Japanese electronics and equipment were just lighter (possibly because they were newer) than the US counterparts.
I’m curious because I read it had better dynamic thrust, which I took to be “increased thrust output between minimum and max thrust” which would translate to better acceleration at the very least.
I know on the F-15C topic, @MaMoran20 made a bug report but it got denied: Community Bug Reporting System
I presume the increases are only at high alt and they don’t really care about performance there.
Though @wasa850 claims that PW-220E should have better thrust compared to 220 (I assume 220E same thrust as 100) because they are just 100 engines upgraded to 220 reliability standards making them 220Es.
The increases are above Mach 1 at all altitudes, as well as gradually getting more efficient at altitudes compared to the 100 engine. (Basically losing less thrust at higher altitudes) Though currently in game this is modelled poorly, as is altitude performance of most, if not all, aircraft due to what I think is an engine limitation for the game.
Not sure about this part, I usually see it claimed to be equal to the 220 in output, though it doesn’t seem unreasonable that there would be a difference between the two.
That would be nice, but I guess it’s not as huge of a difference. I’d think higher acceleration at low speeds would be huge as then you can more freely dump speed and build it back up again.
Also I edited my post to add it here but, I’m not sure if MAWS should be reported or not at this point?
If J/APQ-1 is indeed MAWS, then probably best to at least bring it devs attention now. I would but I don’t have any documentation to make the report myself.
Who on earth is spreading such nonsense? The JSI modification plan is currently underway, and all deployed F-15J MSIP aircraft will be upgraded to JSI. The only thing that was canceled was the integration of the LRASM into the JSI.

Added a report for the pilot model since it’s low effort and I don’t have documentation for the big issues: Community Bug Reporting System
If you have documentation on flight suits, please add them to the report.
EDIT: Marked as not a bug.
Looks like would have to make an actual suggestion to get this seen.
“No proper source” aka made up
Funding never went away, so idk why he’s saying that it was brought back. All of the recent budgets since like 2020 show millions going towards “Increasing on board ammunition, equipping stand-off missiles, and improving EW capabilities” which is adding all the extra AMRAAM pylons, adding JASSM, and adding EPWSS which were all outlined in the JSI upgrade package.
“I can’t read anything about the JSI, so obviously it’s been cancelled”
F-2 production stopped in like 2007 with minimal parts production going on. They didn’t stop production just now to start on the JSI stuff. Also if they are going to do restart production on a factory why would they do it in the F-2 factory that has none of the tooling to do work on the F-15 and not the… ya know… F-15 lines that built the things for 30 years.
You should really find someone else because this guy has no clue what he’s talking about.
The F-15 lines in St. Louis? The whole point of the JSI is it’s being made in Japan
Do you people just not know that Japan made their own F-15s? They would do it on their lines in Nagoya where they made their F-15s.
And have those lines been producing anything since the end of their production run? Or were they converted to something else so they weren’t just sitting there?
Yes, Nagoya is MHI’s primary aerospace production center. They’ve been making parts for various airframes and doing F-35 assembly there.
Then there is your answer! The plant in Nagoya is occupied with F-35 production now. It’s all MHI anyways, if they have space where they were doing F-2 production, which has also stopped, it makes sense they are going to use it for the JSI upgrades there.
F-35 production didn’t take over the F-15 lines. There are various parts production and IRAN still being done on F-15Js at Nagoya.
I’m leaning more towards “Only unreliable English articles”, which is still quite a bit different from purposefully making things up. In a way they are easier to trust than machine translation, having someone with supposed knowledge on the subject compile an explanation.
I’d probably be lying if I said I never fell for something like that.
I actually find it to be quite the opposite. Apart from the state of the JSI project (and I guess the J(M) name, but that is also not something I’d just expect to be well known) he was actually very accurate beyond what I usually see in English articles. For example he got the J-MSIP and J(M) differences right, and the tested AIM-120B.
Sure, he made a mistake, but I still feel like you’re being a bit hard on him here.
