I started playing War Thunder back in the golden era of the classic ‘Russian bias’. You know the drill: every devblog felt like a 4K Soviet propaganda poster, the launcher practically blasted the State Anthem, and we could comfortably blame all our skill issues on ‘Sekrit Dokuments’. It was a simple, beautiful life.
Over the last few months though, something strange happened. The whole Mother Russia vibe disappeared faster than my team from the D point. Now we are drowning in flashy updates for other nations, showing off Western toys, and Russia went from the main character to a minor guest appearance.
I mean, I finally unlocked the F/A-18, and I was fully prepared to dogfight the usual overwhelming horde of red-starred UFOs, but the narrative has completely flipped! It’s like the Snail hit its head and got amnesia.
So I am genuinely worried about the current meta:
- Did their office keyboard break and they literally can’t type Cyrillic anymore?
- Where is the mandatory devblog about a new top-tier vehicle covered in ERA and ‘stalinium’?
- Who am I supposed to blindly accuse of favoritism now when I get shot down?
Jokes aside, has anyone else noticed this massive shift in the recent updates and marketing focus? Do you think this ‘Gaijin Global Edition’ is a permanent PR move to avoid real-world drama, or just a temporary cycle? Let me know, because honestly… I kinda miss the era where every patch came with a free dose of ‘Яussian Bias’ on the main menu.
