Deutsche Marine Type 143 Albatros class Fast Attack Missile Craft, just as the name is saying, they were built for carrying MM38 missiles, meanwhile they are missing missiles in the game. These boats are in the game for like 4 years from now on, when will they get MM38 ? why were they added to the game if they can’t use it’s main armament.

Most likely balance, any ingame vessels with missiles are either atgms or sams barring an Italian boat.
It’s dumb tho, why won’t they get added and why are they adding boats without its main function…
Isn’t there already a ship with anti air missiles and USA premium ship with missiles ?
Yea Uss Douglas has Rim 24s, a sam. So does Bravy and Bernau with Strelas.
There is the coastal La Combattante with SS.11 atgms as well.
The Saetta P-494 does have Netuno ashms iirc though I think they are less powerful than most others, hence why there were allowed.
The issue with ashms is that it runs the risk of being a mess to balance.

Technically the Nettuno (also known as the Sea Killer Mk. I) AShM would count as one but it’s a lightweight sea skiming missile.
But you’re correct that there isn’t any playable heavy ones yet.
IIRC the Type 143 here & the AI Project 1143.4 have their AShM modelled in the CDK but ain’t usableas we see here with the MM38.

A bit longer than four years mate, the Type 143 has been in game since NF was added way way back in 1.79 iirc with the Albatros P6111/S61 while Bussard P6114/S64 is only four years old.
But heavy AShM ain’t likely to come in the near future, hell I think the Type 90 / OTOMAT have a better chance getting added sooner than the MM38 let alone the P-500 on the AI Project 1143.4 heh.
There would need to be a lot of changes made before these come or if they ever come, an if they did come an option for it to be fair would be to make the targetable via players locking on to them with a grey box like already on ships & aircraft currently.

The game isnt ready for them yet. There is no counter play for most ships as most ships are WW2 era. Imagine being in a WW2 light cruiser only to be hit an EXOCET fired cross map from a destroyer hiding behind an island. It would be insane.

Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you are required to do it.
Naval is more of an odd duck than planes or tanks and adding modern weaponry would most likely destroy any balance or genuine game play that the mode has been worked up to have at this point.
Adding BVR combat and weaponry to be used on vessels built in 1911 is just . .
. . I don’t know the English word for it(and yes, I am a native English speaker).
Ships cannot move or evade such weapons, hence . . . sitting ducks, and you can’t add anti-missile defense systems to ships built decades before guided missiles were even invented.
Adding the ability to send modern anti-ship missiles to boats made prior to the 40’s or 50’s . . . . that’s not even a game.
Until there can be some sort of viable “era separation” in naval, none of those modern weapons have a place in the current mode status . . just won’t work
Just my opinion, but naval needs a lot of other things added or worked into the mode before any of what you suggest even sees the light of day.
Gaijin doesnt want to, that is all. These ships are absolutely crap and I dont understand why anyone would want to play them.
