When is War Thunder going to fix it to where missiles cannot fly through timber without blowing up but they do in the game all the time, and it’s a little bit ridiculous when it can’t happen when a branch will set off a missile. Come on, War Thunder needs to fix this
I belive that’s caused because missiles in general, may include Tandem-charge warhead (need some testing), are labeled as HEAT warhead, which is highly sensitive to most obstacles. However you may notice some inconsistency when HEAT can easily go through some bushes without detonation as well ATGMs in most cases.
Some bushes, trees might not have colisions? Like in air RB.
i tried to attack a light tank that was behind one of those concrete walls with a tandem anti tank missile but the wall absorbed the explosion and there was no consecutive impact hitting the tank and then my vehicle exploded lol so you might be right as it didnt even score a “hit”
that should have been a kill i dont know what happened, the molten jet should have at least caused some damage to the tank hiding behind that wall but it behaved like a HEAT or HE round instead
maybe it was some kind of issue with the projectile itself, seems like secondary explosion from tandem is not animated or it’s coded as extra penetration power instead
