So, I’ve been playing a bit with top-tier vehicles, and the most annoying part (apart from random and sudden Fakour 90 missiles from nowhere) is not being able to tell how far away a missile is from you and what direction it’s going. I feel like the missile icon for spotted missiles heading toward you should grow in size, like “if the missile is X kilometers away, have this size.” The game already keeps track of distance, so why not change the icon size accordingly?
If I can’t see a difference between a missile that’s 10 km away and one that’s 0.5 km away, relying solely on the smoke trail (which isn’t reliable and can mislead you) is frustrating. I can’t be the only one with this issue. Keeping track of teammates, enemies, and missiles without that little help from icon size changes is irritating (not enough to make me uninstall, but enough to ruin an otherwise good session because of a few missiles I couldn’t keep track of).
Honestly, I’d like to see this in a future update—not as the main event, but as a smaller acknowledgment that the developers see our issues and are actually improving the game. Even if it doesn’t fix the BR ceiling issue, this change would definitely make me happier.
Maybe as an optional feature, I wouldn’t want it because the missile diamonds are honestly too big for me as is.
For me at least the distance readings work fine
I want the missile icon to dynamically grow from a smaller size to a larger size as it approaches, so you can see it coming toward you. not for it grow from current size but just size change in general.
Definitely optional than that would be extremely annoying for me
The distance being shown is way more information than the icon changing size.
Do you have trouble reading the distance that it currently shows?
You can clearly see if a missile is 10km away or 1km away because it will tell you that info.
It’s especially challenging when you’re down in the dirt with three missiles, four enemies, and five allies behind you. Suddenly, you have to deal with the chaos, and your brain has essentially tuned out the RWR warning noise since your allies can trigger it too, and it’s been going off for the last minute. You then have to figure out if any of the three missiles are targeting you.
Despite the confusion, I can quickly determine that the three missiles aren’t headed my way. I’m not the best at keeping track under pressure, but the size of an icon makes a significant difference during intense moments. With just a quick glance, I can see they’re on different trajectories. However, out of nowhere, a fourth missile enters the fray, and it has the same icon size as the three others. If that fourth missile is darting toward me, that’s the issue I face. And yes, I’m a player who likes to brawl in the middle—I don’t care, but hey, that’s just me!
But I personally think this should at least be an option for players to customize.
