the thing is we get this uggly thing, while a voice alert system still lacks on the gripen and other top tier jets, its only on a handfull of vehicles because “no evidence” while any clear thinking person knows that this kind of system is implemented in airliners since the 1970s, and now a 4. gen fighter with introduction 1996 should not have it?
I have to go watch the replay, later. It’s possible that there was some server desync and I should’ve got hit lol
Wtf is this garbage
Turning the game into a ace combat non stop dopamine injection for people that watch TikTok brainrot this game is going to shit with every garbage UI element they add
Ah yes…
The computer on modern jets notifies their pilots that “Missile evasion” has happened on the HUD or HMD
Yes, very realistic.
At the least, it should be far easier to implement a RIO/WSO voices for a two seat aircraft than it is for a VWS.
It would be awesome if Nigel is back as RIO/WSO and tells “5 o’clock low” and “12 o’clock, breaking left!”
@F-16D_Barak_II
Stop derailing topics and stop hating on Israel’s tech tree.
“Alvis is saying this feature is unauthentic. WHAA!”
@TyphoonCro
Glad you agree with me.
I knew I should have put “/s” at the end…
As I said, glad you agree with me.
Your post being sarcastic is why you and I are in agreement.
If you were serious you’d be disagreeing with me.
I’m sorry, agree on what again?
That the notification is unrealistic? Because it is
The impact timer served the same purpose, except with this you have game telling you “Hey, you just wasted a missile.”
Accessibility functions will always be a tad different. Unauthentic is the word, not unrealistic.
Overtly telling people what their RWR told them is something I’d expect F-35’s computer system to be capable of at the least, but older stuff would obviously be unauthentic.
Oh but hold on
The message “missile evasion” is shown to the attacker, not defender (if I understood correctly)
I think personally this would be a fine addition in Air Arcade, but not realistic, this seems to be pushing it a little, and I feel it adds a bit more distraction, to the already insane amount distraction in Air RB top tier. (At least add an option to turn this off, without having to go into the BLK files like you do for custom hangars)
It’s the attacked that gets the popup AFTER the missile misses.
Pretty much overtly telling them what their RWR told them.
Is this possible with modern compute power? Yeah.
Is it a feature of older RWRs? Obviously not.
If a video game can code it with simplistic code.
If Gaijin’s working toward accessibility, I made a post about that here:
Careful, F-16D will block you now for stating your on-topic opinion.
Huh…
Split on this one then
Dude needs to be muted/banned for intentionally poisoning and derailling every thread he is in.
Anyway, the missile evasion is pointless, adds even more screen clutter, and even further reduced the ability to sneak and surprise attack.
I prefer hearing the whizzing sound of a missile flying at Mach Jesus just barely missing me by mere hundreds of metres as I successfully evade the missile.
Also, I really hope this doesn’t get added to the live server - and if it does, I REALLY REALLY hope it is excluded from Air Sim Battles. Takes out the whole ‘simulator’ part of it and adds yet another handholding feature in a gamemode riddled with them.
I understand it’s a stressful thing trying to please everyone but what’s with Gaijin adding/changing stuff nobody asked for?
Is it in sim battle on dev? Or has anyone tested if it is there?
“Aircraft destroyed”, “Severe damage”, “Critical hit”, etc are in sim live right now in Sim Battles so I would assume this would get the same treatment.
I really am hoping it doesn’t…
P.S. I can’t check the dev server myself because… well, not on PC :D
I saw a video from the OSA on dev server and it seems that this is being shown to AAs and ground vehicles as well, I don’t know how or why hahahahahahahaha catastrophic and sad
