this is very simple; i think it would be awesome if you could leave a global message for everyone to see in the chat menu, so we could leave stuff around such as “invite me” “brb smoking” “random_message” “happy birthday random_user” and so on, i think it adds some spice to the chat room specially if there’s a community of some kind involved when you’re in a group of players who also be friends and know each other meaning of there message.
another thing that would be cool is implementing an honor / karma system, so that outstanding players can realize they were in fact leading the front lines and those who performed against their team to realize they didnt perform as well or did bother someone by some kind of obnoxious behavior such as team killing or pushing tanks into certain death, of course its even better if this is not tied to a punishment system and just leave that part to the report button itself and it just became a way to score their nature as players specially if this is added into their profile main page.
I can see this abused excessively in ASB by PvE lobby riggers.
You join a lobby. You proceed to play the game as intended, doing objectives - which include shooting down enemies trying to destroy your bombers/bases/tanks. You suddenly get harrassed telling you it’s PvE and alongside being mass-reported, you now get a lot of negative karma. All because you wanted to play the game as intended rather than fix and rig matches.
You don’t have to go longer than to the first spawn and you can see some people behave like entitled children because someone dared to drive where they wanted to drive, and from there the entitlement just sky rockets.
Someone took your favorit spot, bam!
Someone got to the zone before you. bam!
Someone shot at something you wanted to shoot. bam!
and so on.
I like the idea, but people would abuse it like there were no tomorrow.
For it to work, it should only be a positive score.
i mean as long as its not tied to a punishment system it wouldnt be that much of an issue but i can already see people making a clan only with those who have positive karma as some sort of discrimination rule hahah
but implementing honorable player only would be better, seeing you made a good job might actually ease some of the stress that happens after every match even if there’s no reward for it other than recognition
I can image this in ARB:
A negative 2000 karma base boomer in air superior fighter vs. a negative 3100 karma teamkiller and base stealer.
When it comes to base, everyone got negative feedback from others.
All it’s going to do is make matches more competitive. All the thirty-year-olds in their mommy’s basement would go around strutting their karma score or whatever. Not only that, instead of actually being yourself or tryna doing something different, people would try and be favorable to other people (let themselves get pushed around, that sort of thing) just to get positive numbers
