I’m very happy with how it turned out! = )

They look absolutely beautiful! I’m hoping Gaijin fixes the current skin on the IIIS to at least resemble one of these

A substantial improvement on the default skin

Here we can see in very detail how the TARAN and the AIM-26B Falcon works

Hope that GJ gets this done right

Yes, also wondering how the cockpit will look. I hope they don’t go the lazy way and simply give it the IIIE’s 'pit, as they similarly did with the Squadron Hunter Mk.58…

Right now the Mk58 squadron vehicle got his proper cockpit
The Tiger got the correct cockpit too with build .22
I am optimistic that they will release the proper Mirage and F18 cockpit too for final release.

Really? Cool!

Only checked the new one, which got the correct cockpit as well…

Includes the TV screen for the Maverick.

Wow, I’ll fly it much more often then in the future!

The F.1 cockpit before was really bothering me so much that I actually flew the Mk.58 only seldomly…

Oh, found this old video again: https://youtu.be/mc7LCQj6RBQ?si=Fb-FzRVnZVNbPagF

At 1:50 you see me working on restoring one of our Mirage Club’s AIM-9P-5’s, so yes, I’m 100% sure we had them! ;-)

A bit of self advertising never can’t be bad ;-)

So this thing should have all aspect aim9Ps? and what Br would that take it too?

11.0 ?

Cause i want it

AIM-9P-4 (all aspect) was used for training only, for wartime use the AIM-9P-5 was used (and is still used by F-5E), which is all aspect, smokeless motor, and has IRCCM. You can almost compare the 9P-4 to the 9L, and 9P-5 to the 9M, seeker technology wise.

With the 9P-5 I think it would be reasonable to have the Mirage IIIS at 11.7+ (like e.g. Thai F-5E FCU and SCU), and the F-5E at 12.0+ (because of much more advanced radar compared to other F-5E variants).

With 9P-4 only, that should be 11.3 for the Mirage, 11.7 for the Tiger, I find.

Hmm I didn’t know that, I knew the P-4 was All aspect but isn’t it marginally worse than 9L?

the P-5 being iRCCM would throw this thing quite high though no? like could it be 11.7 with an IRCCM missile? the platform itself is going to be quite a substantial frame to begin with?
as it upgrades a lot on what the mirage IIIE and such lack.

Will be intersting to say the least, I do hope it gets P-5s though

you think so? remember aim9L isn’t really found on a fighter till about 11.7 / 12.0

They should have splitted out Mirages IIIs into an early and late variant. The early at 10.3 with AIM-9E and AIM-9P3 and the late variant featuring AIM-9P5s

Still got a radar and engine from the sixties, albeit with improved aerodynamics…

Well, could well be that an early “silver” pre-1985 Mirage IIIS would be added at a later stage, no? We also had the upgraded Hunter Mk.58 for quite a while now, and only now are getting the “original” early variant…
