With the addition of Mirage IIIs to the German tech tree, the Mirage IIIE no longer makes any sense at 10.7 BR in Realistic Battles — it should be at 10.3. Yes, it has two good missiles, but so does the A-10 at 10.3 (and much better overall), with tones of countermeasures.
At 10.3 you have aircraft like the MiG-21 SMT, F8U-2 or MiG-21MF, which offer much better weaponry and overall performance. Meanwhile, at 10.7 there’s the J-7D, which the Mirage IIIE doesn’t even come close to in terms of capabilities. The J-35XS sits comfortably at 10.3 and even has six solid missiles.
The Mirage IIIE is a solid aircraft for 10.3, but at 10.7 it makes no sense to play it.
At the point where the J-7D sits at 10.7, no Mirage III belongs there—neither at that BR nor anywhere near it. Moreover, with the F8U-2, MiG-21 SMT and MF at 10.3.
If the IIIS gets the AIM-9Ps 11.0 absolutely. As it stands, 10.7 seems like the right BR for it, as its better than a 3E but not much better to warrant a higher BR.
Maaayyybe it will be fine if we thinks about F-5E
But unsure about that bc i didn’t unlocked IIIS of mine yet.
And also maybe you might misread that part.
It seems he might think IIIS is better than IIIE bc it has lower BR and using it as one of reason for buffing IIIE down.
It’s extremely mediocre if not getting close to simply bad and not worth playing beyond unlocking it to get the next vehicle… but yeah I guess that qualifies
And an F4 is no mirage. R60s are pretty strong at 10.3 sure they’re no Magic 1, but you get up to 4 of them. Could see the SMT at 10.7, as its flight performance is still good enough for 10.7.
Thats a compression issue, the Mirage IIIC can’t move up as its flareless. In a 9.0 downtier the thing is near untouchable. As for the IIIE, 10.7 isn’t great but I can’t see it going to 10.3 while remaining in a balanced state.
Was talking about the Mirage III BRs, thought I’d shove it in there. As for the 3 CJ, 10.0 fair again as it trades the Magic 1 for longer range IR msls (9Ds)
No, it is a 3C that has FAR worse thrust/weight ratio because it gains over a ton in empty weight but you gain 20 kg/f of thrust on afterburner… that’s a rounding error. It gains a SMALL amount of countermeasures in exchange for this along with the RWR… things you ONLY need because you’re at 10.7 to begin with. At 10.0 a RWR is optional. You’re paying 0.7br to get 45 CMs and a far worse flight model.
