530f can do a bit of BVR if your target is headon

yes and those people do exist, so you can get kills in circumstances where su25 cant get them. welcome to war thunder, even if the advantange works only against idiots its still an advantange that the su25 does not have
So uh, you can easily get kills headon with Su 25. Like, really easily. At comparable effective range.
This is before we even consider the Su 39 that has similarly effective AGMs that can target aircraft as the 530F is against only aircraft. And it carries 16. At 11.7. They also cannot be chaffed.
F1C is worse than most fighters at its BR, and could quite comfortably go down in BR whilst making fuck all difference to the matchmaker outside of making it slightly more playable in an uptier.
Really interesting chaff resisting behavior & low Alt signal reception. This itself could be a way to try it =D

you have to spend your ir missiles for that and then you cant use them elsewhere

Oh no, the dedicated strike aircraft has limited AAMs. Compared to the fighter with arguably less effective AAMs, and comparably limited count of effective missiles.

I’m just saying its not among the best at 12.0 and it really shows in uptiers.
If it only had Magic 1s, then it could be 11.7, but it has the best IR missiles in the game [tied with 9M, AAM-3, and R-73].
So yeah, it’s stuck at 12.x for the rest of its life.
There are some under-BR’d 13.0s that need to be decompressed, but that’s not an excuse to make the F-1C OP.
The thing isn’t even the best 11.7.

So you think Mig-23MLD can have R-73s at 11.7? Cause that’s what you’re arguing with F-1C. Same exact 4 missile loadout at that point.
moving it down .3 Br wouldn’t make it op it would just face less radar missile busses that hard counter it every uptier. Also there isn’t a huge variety of 12.0s being mostly pd phantoms and some tornados which are fine at their br so I think the F1C sits with the F-104asa and the Kfir C.7 as the worst 12.0s.
So you also think Mig-23MLD with R-73s is 11.7 capable?
Except mig-23 has better flight performance, much faster speed, better radar and rwr and radar missiles that work much better.
