you can defeat aim7fs pretty easily by notching ngl and the f1c will beat the f4 handily, the f4 is better for air rb though due to having more effect on the battle imo however
Im just gonna expand my earlier response about the missiles on it:
Magic 2s are easily the best IR missiles at the BR. Like, its not even close. They’re almost as good as AAM-3s frankly
The Super 530Fs arent amazing, but they arent terrible frankly. They are good for sub 10km head on engagements. They definitely dont hold up to a 7F but the way you use them is different to a 7F. You dont want to be up high in the F1C, where as a 7F benefits from altitude.
The 530E is a meme. Its slow, and it has low pull. But it DOES have a good seeker and it tracks, most of its misses are due to lack of pull and not because it wasnt tracking the enemy. With that in mind you can get some pretty hilarious kills with it in situations where a 9B or even a 9E wouldnt track. Its definitely not good, but its better than not having it imo. (Use the IR one, not the radar one)
The aircraft itself is potent, it has good guns and a good flight model. The RWR isnt great, but It been good enough for me to avoid most long range radar missiles where you’d need it most.
I havent personally thought “man this doesnt feel like it deserves this BR” while flying it. I also dont think Magic 2s need to be bullying 10.7 aircraft, but I wont say no to a reduction if it happens lol

Yes, but 90km range vs 28 km range of BVR, even if the MiG-23 is above 1800m is still kinda better, not by much tho
And yes, i agree 100%, but yet again, you can just keep launching missiles untill the Mirage cannot notch them

The radar MTI isn’t very relevant to the overall performance of its SARH. Also it rarely goes on MTI in TRK mode…Also the 530F is a pulse seeker not a CW seeker, so it will eat chaff because all your radar is doing is acting as a “flashlight” to illustrate target

530Fs are easily avoided by simply turning, they are slow, turn bad, and are easy to chaff. Even the aim7e2s are better
I feel they are better than the E2s from my memory, though that said I only used E2s on the EJ Kai and that was not for long before they got replaced by the 7Fs.
With a PD radar the E2s work better since you can launch them from high up. 530Fs are those missiles I only use against slow targets or to third party someone busy in a dogfight. Sometimes I caught distracted people flying up with them but if they try hard to avoid it, often the missile can’t pull enough. Many of my 530F kills would also be manageable with guns
