Mirage F1C-200 12.0 BR unbalanced against other aircrafts (AIR RB)

It has magic 2s they’re 40G IRCCM missiles. Use them. They’re free kills.

Which highly unlikey as you face opponents with PD that can use their AIM-7F, or the R-24R on the MIG-23ML that are manouverable or even worse, AIM-120A when you get a full uptier.

The F1C-200 has a good FM and the Magic 2s are nice, but the Matra and the Radard and the RWS are not good at all. Either give it an option to run 4x Magic 2 and you can use it as a pure IR missile bus or lower it in BR to at least 11.7.

It’s in the game for a reason.

I don’t get IRCCM missiles, I bleed speed at more than double your rate, and I only have 4 directions on my RWR, none of which are front, rear, left, or right.

Sorry, I’m missing your point.

Are you trying to compare the Viggen with the Mirage?
Because at 12.0 you would use the J37D with the RB74/AIM-9L.
You’d also have 6 of them or 4 and 2 of the RB71…which are not too bad if you can get a radar lock…

I feel like a part of the issue is that it isn’t good at long range engagements, super 530f and it’s rwr aren’t great. The rwr issue is funny because at the same br is the F1CT, which gets a better rwr.

At 12.3 you get the Mirage 2000C-S4/5 and this one actually rocks!

If I could use it to research the tree I’d actually have fun. Good Missiles, Good FM, Good Radar…

F-14A has inferior armament as well as being a different BR.
None of the aircraft you mentioned except F-4S are the same BR.
F-4S has inferior weapons, and Mig-23ML has drastically inferior weapons to F-1C.

Wait what?

You get two IRCCM Magic 2s which at that BR are literally free kills. No one else gets IR missiles that good until like 13.0.

The 530Fs are average, and the 530E is a meme, but I have gotten kills with the 530E, and its hilarious when it does.

The aircrafts flight performance is also insane, its incredibly fast and accelerates fast. It turns pretty well too.

Ive got 49 battles in it and Im running a 3-1 KDR with it, I got it in the christmas sale thats just gone after my friend who has hundreds of battles with it was raving about how good it was he has 370 battles in it and is at 3.3-1 KDR.

Ill gladly take a lower BR though. Ill just farm more kills with it

Yes, it is a different BR, but still you meet those planes quite often and you are not able to protect yourself against them…

You dont even own any Mirage F-1C

  • 1: I can Guarantee at least a quarter of my deaths are team kills.

  • 2: Generally speaking jets aren’t my favorite, I’ve also been dealing with ARH missiles in higher tier jets, specifically jets that if I turn cold I instantly will have a massive disadvantage (Viggen series), so multipathing is my only option (Yay invisible trees)

  • 3: I have shitty countryside internet with bad PL and Ping

ML is definitely inferior, R-60MK’s are not Magic 2’s, really still bad even against Magic 1’s, the R-24R has IOG, which is good if you continue fly straight, but all you have to do is jink and chaff and it will easily miss.

This jet will always be hard to balance with magic 2s.

If it had better radar missiles it could easily go up. Or if it had magic 1 it could sit at 11.0 and be ok there

Mirage F1C has 2x Magic 2s and 2 situational other missiles.
The Magic 2s are better than both AIM-7s and AIM-9s, just used differently than AIM-7s.
Of course the only great missiles on Phantoms and F-14A tech tree are the AIM-7s. AIM-7s are better in the headon vs Magic 2s, and Magic 2s are better in the side and rear aspect than AIM-7s.

And of course the Mig-23ML has as-good radar missiles with an as-good radar, while having far worse IR missiles.

But R-24R is the equivalent in performance, let me explain:
On F-1C you get x5 AA missiles:

  • x2 IR Magic 2 (very good, BUT only from rear aspect you “asure” a kill, still flareable from every aspect)
  • x2 SARH R 530F (no CW seaker, will go for chaff, beyond useless)
  • x1 SARH/IR R 530E (way beyond useless)

On MiG-23ML you get x6 AA missiles:

  • x2 SARH R-24R (very good, CW seaker+IOG, wont go for chaff, but can be notched (fuck the R-24T btw))
  • x4 IR R-60M (way way worse than Magic 2, BUT, you can get some nasty kills on head-on thanks to the proxymity fuse delay being 0.5 sec vs 1.8 sec from Magic 2)

On both you can get 2 kills with strong missiles, but only on the F-1C you need to get in to close/dogfight range, witch gets you on a disadvantage.

And in turning performance, the F-1C is worse than a phantom:

On F-1C you either get real close to the enemy plane in order to use Magics 2 or you do nothing, meanwhile F-14, F-4J and MiG-23ML can just shoot missiles at you at +20km range and keep the F-1C ​​at its mercy very easy

Indeed, the Magic 2, being “hard” to flare, has a range of not more than 2.3km from rear aspect at a target flyign at mach, meanwhile AIM-7F can keep going way longer

What? You clearly haven’t played the R-60 series, they are fast off the rails, and that’s it, then your a 99 pound dart in the air with no maneuverability, they are most definitely a short range dogfight missile, especially if you use BVR/ACM. Even then even BOL could flare it like a sad puppy following you in the rain.

Except for the fact F-1C has chaff for days and enough flight performance to avoid radar missiles.
