The thing is that apparently, the doc stating that, is still restricted information. Knowing gaijin, even if HE show that, they wont accept it due to the fact that it is still confidential and Meumeu is at risk due to showing restricted information.
This is a major issue regarding NATO vehicle in general, being tank, planes or even boat; each country keep these kind of information for a really long time in their secret document section. And even if they are not restricted anymore, who is going to, one day, wake up, and publish random information on the internet.
This one is not a government restricted document. It’s at most a constructor restricted document from Dassault on a 40 years old prototype. Hence why I believe asking Dassault directly could bring some results
Btw i remember there being report about carrying both TV and laser guided ordinance at the same time (also similar one for 27k) did something happen to that?
Yes i misunderstood what he said in the stream. At one time he says he can’t show the doc and right after he says the docs are on his discord.
Couldn’t find it tho
Even in a balance point of view it would be probably not a good idea, so if you take that on top of the fact that there is nothing that can really back up the claim right now, it is unlikely to see that in game.
The only issue i see with the weaponry right now is the lack of useful Fox 1. The 530D would be great to have, but unfortunately a lot of people seems to dismiss this because it’s not “meta” to use radar missiles…
Does anyone know if there is material available (or a bug report already submitted) that better describes HUD symbology of the mirage 2000(s) when CCRP bombing?
When CCRP bombing, currently all the HUD does is present the active target of interest on the ground and a timing circle around it, but no guidance for aircraft heading or roll position. This requires you to remember your heading to the target AND keep the point of interest within the view of the HUD to see the time to drop. Really of defeats the purpose when you want to loft bombs or drop in level flight to avoid SAMs or SPAA when flying in sim. Also makes it hard to loft GBUs since you can’t auto drop them like dumb bombs so you need to watch the timer.
Features that help you position your aircraft when CCRP bombing are present on other modern attack aircraft, like the Jaguar GR1, and tornados, and A-7 variants.
I would be surprised if it’s not the case for any of the Mirage 2000s. Also I am pretty sure all the mirage 2000s use the same HUD is this right? Likely the 4000 will as well.
I saw in some DCS videos on youtube for the Mirage 2000C where they show a better HUD setup for CCRP which tells you all this info, but obviously can’t use that as a source of material.
To me, it really feels like the missile own detector is confused. It often just self explode even with a full double circle lock in the first 2 s of flight or the last 5s before impact, when the lock stays strong (no notching, no ground hugging)
The new missile track camera locks onto whatever the missile is locked on, if you aren’t already you can use that as a rough debugging tool. But my guess is that the dev server has some janky tracking for radar and missiles compared to live, it’s almost impossible to hold a radar lock with the RDY for more than a couple seconds even in ideal conditions
Terribly sorry for the (very) poor quality of this recording, but I just had to show the laughable performance of this Super 530D. Getting a kill with this missile is nothing short of a miracle. At least for me.
I know dev server stuff changes yada yada yada, but I do think it seems odd that the Mirage 4000 is among the draggiest airframes at top tier until you get above 1450 tas considering the delta wing design. Bottom lines are drag curves, top is acceleration. You can see the kfir and Mirage 2000 have incredibly low drag especially above mach 1, but the 4000 is only better than the F-15 in terms of drag at high speed.
I don’t have the reliability issues with 530D that a lot of people say they’re having in this thread, but maybe I’ve just been getting lucky. I notice that you’re locked up using PD HDN: have you tried using PD instead? This is purely my experience, but I completely stopped using PD HDN on the Mirage 2K several months ago in favor of using the standard PD instead. The 530D on PD track have been pretty damn reliable for me.
yeah with a relative speed with the target of 750m/s, the HDN mod is simply not the issue here. IMO, the 530 seeker just does not pick up the targets correctly when launched, and then the profuse is also finicky just before it hit the target
Fair enough. Like I said, I haven’t touched the HDN mode in a while and the 530D on PD haven’t really felt weak to me. But that’s also just like, my experience which could just be a fluke.
