This report applies as well to the Mirage 2000, just as my last one
I think I’m blind ? Where’s the AASM supposed to be ?
Tho it looks like a MICA IR on the left, which confirms that the UAF finally got them
Possible, seeing only 1 made me fully confused so i just blindly said what was said on the tweet, at the worst it make some ukrainian mirage posting.
The mirage 2k radar is some how actually worse than the F1C. Im not joking.
The TWS head on its OK at the start of the game… rest of the time its random and likely that you cant see jets on any mode that are in front of your face.
I still wonder when will Gaijin give the 2000 family proper MFD modes instead of the cookie-cutter and generic modes it has today.
Its honestly the worst iv experienced.
f1C I have no issues really, Id even say the radar is actually pretty good.
Gaijin never add another french Mirage 2000C to researchable tree before Mirage 2000C-S5 to rank VII (11.3 ~ 12.0) and rank VIII (12.3)
You can still win against an f16
Its more of how you engage him
F16 is a two cercle fighter and the mirage is a one cercle fighter
In short f16 is a rate fighter and you are a radius fighter
Your goal is to turn inside the f16 cercle
The f16 goal is to make you run out of energy
For the f16a it just a better mirage but with worse energy retention because its instantanious turn rate is ridiculously high now
Usually how i play it i wanna stay above the f16 most of the time and he will have to climb up and force the f16a to cash its energy climbing up towards me and to make it harder and when he cant keep up climbing is when i dive down on him
Other methods is to go into 2 cercle on the merge and turn into a 1 cercle by going vertical after in the second turn and dive back down to regain your energy and repeat it 2 or 3 time and make sure that there enough separation between you and the f16 while you are doing that because you dont want him to be able to point his nose straight up at you
When he run out of energy and cant climb anymore is when you dive on him and shoot him down
It can work on an f16a takes a bit more effort
But this works better on the f16c because its instantanious rate isnt as crazy as the f16a
So I have just unlocked the Mirage 2000 5EI and is the TWS scan zones correct on the RDY radar? 3 degrees in vertical scan in all its modes are quite inconvenient for its BR bracket
No it’s not correct but I’ve been too lazy to report it, we do have primary sources for the TWS scan zones.
What is it supposed to be?
The Mirage-2000C-S3 YEARNS to be added… IT BEGS TO BE ADDED…
4 bar scan rather than 1 bar scan for TWS.
would be a nice change for it. kinda is the only complaint i have for the Mirage 2000-5 would make it a perfect aircraft for 14.0
If I understand correctly that would make the AIM9M completely useless against the DDM ?
The AIM9M currently has around a .5s before guidance. Which means that :
- as of now, the Aim9M has time to start guiding to the M2K (or rafale) before the MAW pops flares (meaning it can turn to IPG when flaring)
- if the DDM starts dropping flares at .2s, the missile would never have the time to acquire the plane and get correct IOG
Is that right ?
Well you should be able to lock the 9M frontally from like 5-7KM
Might help the missile get there.
The seeker locks on to the target instantly at launch, there is just a 0.5 second delay before it can start turning.
That would not help. The DDM on the M2K can already detect a 9M fired from max range.
However I did not consider that @Flame2512. I did not know it correctly used its gating before guidance, since it currently doesn’t really work before launch (as of now I believe)
