Yes an ACM mode is missing. Should be 4 total combat modes.
And here in more detail please
he probably means 4 sizes of acm boxes.
So no pulse mode?
when using the AS30L it keeps detonating early whenever i launch outside of 8km, does it have a flight duration or is it just getting intercepted without it appearing in the killfeed?
edit: i just realized it has 24/s of guidance that may be my issue
The AS30 is rather reliant on it’s launch parameters to get range. If you launch at around M1 from about 5km alt, it comfortably reaches 11km range, and you can push it to about 13 with more speed/altitude before you come to a point where you’re taking too long setting up your attack runs.
The sustainer burns for the entire guidance duration, so you don’t really have to worry about it falling out of the sky like an AGM-65.
whats the difference between the cs5, 4k and 5f radars if they all get mprf? they would all become essentially the same radar no?
RDY would still have some features over the RDI such as automatic waveform, longer range, and air to ground modes.
I haven’t seen anything that states RDM has MPRF.
It appears the M2KD RMV’s MFD does not display any information from the RWR. Is this intended and/or is anyone else experiencing this?
Also, were AASMs able to be carried on any of the other pylons? The one I’m particularly interested in is the pylon carrying the targeting pod. In game the PGM 500 can be used on this pylon, but it is incompatible with a PGM 2000 on the centreline hardpoint. It would be nice if we could have AASM on this pylon with the centreline PGM specifically for striking carriers.
Aware niche usecase, but another AASM would make sinking them far more consistent.
We don’t really know what the RMV MFDs display at the moment since the aircraft were put into service recently and few images have been published. However, the MFD in the top left corner should be able to display the RWR and if the central screen is still configured like the previous ones it should also be able to do so.
So normally the 2000D RMV shouldn’t even be able to carry AASM to begin with, otherwise assuming it can, the right front hardpoint is wired for laser and GPS guided weapons (the GBU-49 can be carried on this point IRL for GPS only firing or buddy lasing).
And besides, carrying PGMs makes no sense either, these weapons are not used by France and apart from the United Arab Emirates which use them on their Mirage 2000-9 no other Mirage has received them
Was it not cleared for AASM? I had seen a few images of it with them. Also PGMs are on a lot of things that just should not carry them, so assumed was the case here too, but we have them so w/e.
Well, RWR displays nothing on them when being pinged.
All the images that have been taken of Mirage 2000 with AASM for the moment were taken on the Mirage 2000N K3 n°303 of the DGA and the CEV (plane suggestion : Mirage 2000N K3 n°303 - Suggestions / Aircraft - War Thunder — official forum), it is a test aircraft which was used to carry out certain AASM firing tests (technically the AASM are in the process of being or are already integrated on the Mirage 2000 sent to Ukraine but they are 2000-5)
The AASM were never included on the Mirage 2000D for the good reason that Dassault wanted to make them exclusive to the Rafale, however a few years ago they reversed their decision but no will was shown on the part of the French army to integrate these weapons on the Mirage 2000.
Curse the French companies and their annoying decisions for my video game 😿
Yes, I noticed that, I will have to make a new bug report for the Mirage 2000 interfaces, but given the number of bug reports that have already been made but have never been changed, it will probably take time.
It’s a nice attacker but definitely some issues.
Yes, and moreover, the fact that the AASM was not integrated into the Mirage 2000D RMV is quite surprising because it is really the weapon that this aircraft is missing to make it an aircraft with a modern strike capability.
It is indeed a bit odd. Would be nice if had them integrated, the pylons would look a lot snazzier with moar of them 😿
