Is it just me or has 530D seeker been nerfed like been doing games this morning and sometime D would act just like F i mean not tracking and just blinking in green and never tracking even at short ranges.
Yes, it’s slower than it should be by about 11% which is a pretty decent chunk of speed. I imagine they’ll have to very much lower its drag. Report has been submitted on this: Community Bug Reporting System
Also 530D seems to do a lot of launch errors lately my friend and me have been playing for an hour now and we fired all of our missile in proper lock and configurations but when going off the rail 50% of the time the missile would run like 500m and explode without loss of the lock.
where you firing in normal PD?
The all aspects yes
it just lacks power for some reason , try switching for normal track if enemy is in notch zone or cold
The Devs are going to fix the Magic 1 & 2 so they have a 50G combined plane overload.
Sorry everyone there was a miscommunication on this see Smin’s response below :(
Also the helmet mounted sight is being investigated for the 2000-5F
As well the ability to mount PGM and LGB is being looked into.
Do they not already have 50G combined plane overload?
No, they are 35G in-game. They are moving to the combined plane maneuvering because the missile seeker guidance and design (swiveling tail, not roll stabilized) essentially forced it to do dual plane 100% of the time.
about time for r73 huh
About RDY radar, as i said earlier to @SNITDES ,
radar in normal PD (not headon) is really weak , so much so that if the targets starts to notch the missile will lose lock and self destruct even though the lock is maintained , this also happens in cold aspects too if target is near the notch gate (not within but close).
another thing to note is when you lock targets on PD head on , when switching to othermodes and then losing lock ( like when the target gets out of the radars field on view) upon entering ACM mode , it resets where your search mode was before switching .
to describe the problem more clearly ,
you locked a target 4 km away with PD head on .
you change the mode to normal or PD track (not PD head not track)
you merge and enter ACM mode and you see that you are in PD head on which is not good for dogfights and you have to switch again .
the problem won’t be there if radar had auto selection mode but still.
So dual/combined plane simulation is being added to the game?
will the magic 2 get its iccm
No, missiles that are roll stabilized to a target get combined plane figures set. Otherwise they are configured using their single plane values.
Don’t have any information on that sorry.
So AIM-54 is getting a buff to? :3
Don’t have information on that although I see there is a report open for it.
Edit: I’ve asked about it.
Hi guys
There was a bit of a miscommunication on the Magic 1/2 50G overload.
Currently we only use missile g-force in a singular plane for all missiles. We are still investigating the report on the Magics ability to roll mid flight, but this itself is not directly confirmatory that the missile can achieve a full 50G in flight. So for the time being, the most accurate and reliable figure of 35G will continue to be used until any new information comes to light supporting this theory more.
The devs wanted to make it clear that even the 35g is the upper peak overload of the missile, which is achieved only at the moment of reaching the maximum velocity under optimal starting conditions. On the trajectory, the overload is significantly lower, especially on approaching the target.
